We look forward for another splendid knock from the master bluster in the second innings as of now the game has poised for a result which may go either way. But I strongly believe with their past experience Rahul & Sachin will do their finishing job and retain the Border-Gavaskar trophy and perhaps this might be a better gift than anything else to the Little master.
Why waste time and media-space on this stupid colonial tamasha of cricket which is played by 40 yr olds after having lunch and tea! Look at our boys and girls who are competing in the CWG with their blood and sweat to now reach 2nd position in the medals tally of India. These are real heroes. They don't have jobs or sponsorships from business houses. Who cares for Dundulkar and his centuries?!
Sachin needs no certificate from anybody. The world respects him and is in awe of Sachin. His achievements are stupendous and unmatched by any cricketer in post Bradman era. Sachin is too great . Those trying to belittle him make fool of themselves.

You are right! But Indian fans are fond of giving certificates without being asked to! and every Indian cricket fan considers himself a cricket expert, the best selector, the best captain and the best strategist!
... it is India's bad luck that whenever Sachin starts playing there is no support from other team members eg: his 175 against Aus, where no one else crossed 20. May be if sachin plays, every other team member just wanted to watch him like us :)

Hi BM, we always hear Bradman is the greatest but during his era only test format was there to play. In Sachin case, he is braving with one dayers/20-20 also round the year. What you say about his bowling skill? So Sachin/Bradman comparison is not worthwhile. If you keep Bradman's average aside, certainly Sachin is living legend in game of cricket. Alok Bhattacharya, Hyderabad.
Any critic should think first what has he contributed before pointing finger at Sachin..
Why Don bradman should be rated above Sachin?? Has he played cricket for 21 years? Has he scored 15 thousand runs in ODI's ?? Has he scored 14 thousand runs in tests?? Has he faced generation of bowling attacks?? Has he scored runs against competitive fielding attack?? has he got maximum number of man of the matches?? still many questions..

bradman did not have helmet, thigh pads , knee pads....all protection that sachin has

Fielding used to be pretty ordinary during Bradman's days. Sachin has to face better fielders and better catchers!

who has the greater average bradman or the master.Bradman did not have the oppurtunity to play odi's and t20's.Bradman has 12 double hundreds, more than anyone. His carear was affeccted by world war.i know tendulkar is a great batsman but u can only compare him with don bradman in tests.Bradman has various other records like an average of 99.94 and 12 200's.

Well here's wat i think: the way u cannot compare ronaldo n sachin, the same way u cannot compare bradman n sachin.. both of them hav achieved totally different heights for their greatness.. ex: Bradman can be called as the best batsman ever for his tremendous average and Sachin can be called as the greatest cricketor ever for his contribution of over 21 yrs in cricket and the mountain of records.. So i feel they are incomparable n its silly to really try and compare them!

No, infact when bodyline applied he failed. I agree with u kiran. Why we should follow others when we have our own legends like Sachin, Gavaskar, Kapil, Kumble?

Bradman just played in England and Australia. But he is white, and thats what counts.

No .Bradman could not hold his own in bodyline series and Australia lost the Ashes there.
if u see indian team without sachin, for last 20years...cricket wud have been dead rubber. indian cricket wud have lost in desert. jus think about it. see the way a young guy wid his dedication, passion fought for his country like a true warrior....wid a side which he dont deserved. he has mostly scored runs against top teams. i petty for our fellow indian who puts fingers against him.....u know wat if sachin wud have been playing for australia...he wud hav 10 times bigger plater than this and a match winner wid players besides him like shane warne, macgrath, gichrist. SACHIN I SALUTE U MAN. I M PROUD TO BE INDIAN AND EVEN PROUDER THAT UR BORN IN INDIA AND PLAYING AND FIGHTING FOR THIS COLURFUL NATION JAI HIND

it is sooo unfortunate that Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar could not win a world cup for INDIA !!???!!! He is batsman eager for his own runs ....
Re: Re: true batscraftsman

No one man can win world cup.It is stupid to expect Sachin to win world cup singlehandedly.

Don't forget that India reached the finals of 2003 World cup solely on Tendulkar's crucial knocks in that tournament. That's why he was presented the golden bat for being the best batsman in that tournament. He only failed against Australia in the finals while trying to play aggressively as our "great bowlers" had allowed Australia to score 300 runs. Then what were our other great batsmen doing ? It is easy to find fault with Sachin which I think is ridiculous . Don't forget he single handedly took us to the finals..If other cricketers fail to deliver it is not his fault....
