Guys, Been reading posts bout people saying negative stuff bout Sachin, just a question does any of you guys even play cricket to critize someone who has actually lived a life doing what he loves. And those fans need not play cricket to be a fan. And unlucky you, you don't need to play cricket to criticize a cricketer. Several days of watching the game on TV is sufficient..:-)

Sachin took 15 innings to cross Greatest Lara's record. Today sachin have played total of 280 Innings in Tests - and reached 14000.
Lara played 232 innings almost 12000 runs. If he would have played another 50 innings like your so called GOD sachin did - then he would have had 15000 by now. Now who is GOD then.
Playing MANY matches and calling yourself as GOD doesn't make any sense. Also LARA is more stylish and great to watch than sachin.
Since last 20 years sachin plays same strokes in all games. NO variety. Brian LARA is the MAN who make spectator to watch Cricket and SAY " ohh " great - Brian Lara's batting has so much variety - Who is best.
also by now Lara would have had 14 doubles if he had still played.
Sachin is a great player YES - everyone agrees - BUT not as great as LARA. Who had the week team and still yet he maintained his calibre with just single hand. Hero means brian lara NOT tendulkar - who prefer to get more records to his name.
Finally - What a shame ??? Tendulkar in an interview told openly - that - " Sunil Gavaskar told me NOT to retire until I get 15000 Test Runs " -- What does this sentense mean. He is playing still to register records.
If Brian Lara would have still played then he would have never reached his record of test runds and hundreds.

This is absurd comparison. Brian lara was not able to withstand the test of time. He could have been little stylish than Sachin (left hand batting looks stylish than right hand batting)but he did not last for so many games.Why did not Lara play even now? Did we ask him not to play. If you cannot appreciate, atleast accept the fact that scoring consistently at the age of 37 is something none of us can think about even in our dreams.

The fact is, that he is playing better than ever. It is true that his record in the times of need had been miserable until about 3 years back, and he had been deserving a kick in the pants for that, but not now. Of late he has shown considerable will to fight against the odds, and even in this trait, he is second only to Laxman. It seems he has matured after all as a batsman. If he plays like this for another 20 years, he will certainly be able to become only the fifth player in history to average more than 60 in Tests.

yes who cannot win any wc...cannot play when needed the most..mostly a flop in 4th innings..wont play on fast picthes or swinging picthes..playes great on flat pitches against weak bowling attacks..

poor fellow.. His feet starts trembling when he reaches 90 runs on board... will get out usually at 98 or 99.... now that he is at 191, he will consume another 20 overs to take 10 runs... and spoil the chances of india winning... thats why dravid was intellignet and declared the innings when sachin was at 194... Dravid knew tendualr would take 15 over to take 5 runs...

Dravid's intelligence, did you see that match, sachin scored last 21 runs in 28 balls to reach 194 which in test cricket should be considered a great, but still that jealous fellow has declared the innings stopping him from achieveing 200 against pakistan. Before posting the comments cross check the statistics.

The problem now here, is that sachin is having records. When it comes, these basters abuse him selfish and playing for his own records. Suppose he has not done any record, then what? Why cant any other Indian player play like sachin? If sachin is defending one end and playing, naturally runs comes in, and centuries also come. Does this mean that he is playing for records? Now, if he fails in one or two innings, then he is blamed. If he plays then selfishness. Most of the times, sachin has been given wrong decision. Maybe thats why Buckner the umpire got packed to his home. Why cant other team members play well, if sachin is getting out? See now yuvaraj plays well in indian league matches. But when it comes in international level, he miserably fails. Laxman is a good player. Thats why he is the only batsman who is always selected for test matches. He is the only player, who can still play when sachin gets out. So dont friends, sachin basters, dont abuse him, appreciate him. Think 100 times, before putting a critic word against him. Thats all we sachin lovers have to say.

hey common, stop this one sport following concept, why are you giving such an importance to one sports and one player, no doubt he is great player and achieved a lot as an individual because he is playing from last twenty years but still no worldcup, yes here you can argue that sachin can't do everything all alone but it is not like that only, that only sachin is playing good for india and when you are talking about the records then also consider about his carrer duration and on the majority of flat wickets in sub-continent, he is world-class players but there are too many players like him who may be not great as an individual as he is atleast in terms of records but they acheived a lot for their countries, like steve waugh, ricky pointing so better to face the true facts before writing anything

he has been contributing for the last 20 years with the bat... why not others too chip in as many runs for their own record and we would have won the cup... why only single him out for not winning any cup... thats not fare

Saina badmindon player, chess, viswnathan anand. I follow all these games. Richa, please dont forget that sachin had scored almost of his 49 centuries out side india also. South africa, australia, england especially. I too agree that there are lots of others players, like steve waugh, ricky ponting. They were also are great players, when their team won test matches. If they had failed in one or two matches, the other team members would ensure them winning. Also when they play good, nobody in their country gives critics against them, that they are playing for themselves. So, you need only to face true facts.

If anybody is watching cricket for so long please tell me whether is there any cricketer who played quality fast bowlers like walsh, ambrose, akram and scored runs. u can praise ponting who played against medium class bowlers and even finding hard to play a match winning innings.

Lets begin from the beginning.
This is a cricket forum. We all gather here to discuss cricket (just FYI, in case you came up with who am I, where are we, what are we doing here etc.)
Cricket is the game played by India amongst other countries including Australia. We happen to be playing Australia at the moment. This is the second test match of the series. Being played at Bangalore. Bangalore is a prominent city in the southern part of India. To be more specific it is in Karnataka.
When the Indian team plays a visiting team, we as usual have a selected group of players who represent Team India. This group totals to a strength of 11 players, with one more in reserve known as the twelfth man whose job it is to do some sundry work during breaks and to take the field if one of the main 11 players is not on the field for some reason.
Coming back to the chosen 11 players, they comprise of batsmen and bowlers. Specific to bowlers we have pace (fast) bowlers and spin (slow) bowlers. The spin bowlers are the ones who turn the ball with an attempt to fox the batsman (the guy from the opposing team with a wooden bat in his hand) and make him do st00p1d things.
The spin bowlers could be left handed (left arm) or right handed (right arm).
In our present team we have a left handed spin bowler. His name is Pragyan Ojha.
