Jaya S:
Thanx for the update.... Given that umpires are present in all matches; we should apply the excellent formula invented by you to the average of all the players.... no? :)
If you really think Indian series does not have UDRS because our players dont like it, then u have to go do ur kindergarten again. BCCI publicly told many times that they do not want to bear the costs of UDRS and asked ICC if they can bear it.ICC rejected and said its the individual boards expense. BCCI will incorporate it in the next 4 year deal with sponsorers..Until then no UDRS

Hmmmmmm.... so BCCI is poorer than the boards of Australia, South Africa, England, Sri Lanka etc.??
Sachinin his carrer may got out less time due to umpiring but escaped many times from giving out. indian batsman afraid o using it but it is our bowlers who will be the real lossers

I am too really not sure why they don't want to use the UDRS. BCCI and few Indian players are hell bent on NOT using it when every other country is using it.
Dhoni complained during the second test during the NZ series. NZ also suffered from few decisions that did not go their way and ones that went in favour of India - wrongly. Dhoni and all Indian players and BCCI should be made to shut up if they ever come up with a complaint in future. Here was a good chance to get the erroneous decisions minimised. It is a mistake when it is a mistake. Umpires are doing their best. So there is no point in talking about improving quality of umpiring. It is India's choice not to go for UDRS. Hence they should never be allowed to complain. When they complain they whould be left to keep barking.

Very true, BCCI and our senior players, dont anymore complain if u lose the series due to bad umpiring. It was in ur hands to chose UDRS and u guys screwed it up.
All the umpires should give the 50:50 decisions in favour of South Africa. That is what these Indian cricketers opposing UDRS deserve. I do want India to win the Test series but will have no sympathy with them if they get wrong decisions at crucial junctures. OZ, New Zealand, West Indies , Sri Lanka , England and even Pakistan are willing to use UDRS.
- BCCI dont want to pay for the infrastructure once matches are scheduled at home
- Indians have a tendency to appeal for everything while bowling and bowlers cant be trusted to use the UDRS properly. While batting everybody would want to use the review system for caught behinds and lbws.
Its suprising that they have still gone ahead and decided not use UDRS after a series of shockers against NZ. From now on, Dhoni & Co cant complain on bad umpiring as an excuse ! He is making the indian fans look like idiots.

All teams not just India want to review 50 50 decisions these days when DRS is available

Indian media will criticise umpire instead of the real ones i.e Dhoni and Sachin who do not want this system Ravi Shastri and Gavaskar would not criticse BCCI either since they get Rs 2 crore each year as Commentators hired by them anyway will they ever blame Sachin for opposing DRS ?No way
It is well known that umpires fear giving Sachin out as they will face the wrath of BCCI and not be called to officiate IPL and other tournaments in India. Obviously, they will give Sachin not out when ever they can. He can surely score his 49th useless hundred now (he scored 1 in Chennai which was useful)
