It is well known that umpires fear giving Sachin out as they will face the wrath of BCCI and not be called to officiate IPL and other tournaments in India. Obviously, they will give Sachin not out when ever they can. He can surely score his 49th useless hundred now (he scored 1 in Chennai which was useful)

d UDRS is OK in principle but not in practice.Limiting each team only to two successful referals in each innings is absurd as it supposes that umpires are entitled to make two mistakes in each innings per team. If any one is sincere in using technology, they should take out the decision to refer to technology from the on filed captains and this should rest with the match referee and third umpire. On several occasions ,deliveries pitched outside the leg stump and going over the stumps had been blatantly given out and seen on the replays. Now umpires can recall batsman who had been declared out by the same umpire on the suspicion of 'no-balls". If this could be done, why not the "pitched outside leg stump /over the stump and ‘bat and pad catches' be left to the third umpire an match referees?
As far as the technology is concerned, the usage of it is limited to the broadcasting crew and their manipulations. In the recently concluded Ashes test, snicko meter clearly showed a tickle from an Aussy batsman but was not shown to the third umpire in time and the batsman was declared "not out". After the decision was given in favour of the batsman, the crew showed the tickometer much later. Why? Why not the tickometer considered as evidence? So let us not just jump to conclusions. Dhoni and Sachin have some reservations and they are entitled to it and they must have taken it on experience. Sachin says gently t

Yes agreed it was written by oversight that the limit as 'two successful referals" whereas it should have been"unsuccessful referals".Rest all I standby what has been expressed. Unless ICC makes the technology conclusive and 100%correct, there is no point in rushing to it.Everyone is entitled to his opinion and so do Dhoni and Sachin have some reservations.Umpire in this game has wonderful tradition about and if one has to review his decision to technology, then it should be conclusive .

Sarangarajan TS:
There is no "limit" to the number of successful referrals. The limit is on "unsuccessful" referrals.
So the logic of your argument is flawed right at the beginning....
As for your observation about manipulation by the broadcasting crew; it is in a very poor taste indeed - to put it mildly...
Which decision against which batsman were you talking about, by the way?
And finally; if your trust in technology and broadcasting crew is so poor; then what makes you go in favour of the very same technology being used by third umpire and match referee unilaterally???
And finally finally - we have always believed in an universal truth that the whole world (and umpires in particular) always cheat against India and that's why we have lost matches.... Given this "intelligent" universal belief, we should have been the first ones rooting for UDRS; which we clearly are not.... ergo that universal belief was flawed right from the start.... Anyone remember the Sydney 2008 test which was 100% drawn (despite umpiring mistakes)? Till our batsmen decided to bequeath a magnanimous win to Australia by donating a whopping THREE wickets in the final over to a rank part time spinner named Michael Clarke??
