As Harbhajan Singh showed with his gutsy batting, there was nothing really in the wicket for our top-order to collapse the way did - which includes our "world's best batsman". When a part-time batsman or bowler-batsman at best, can score a century, how is it that specialist batsmen failed twice in this test ? Pity our strongest area, which is supposed to be our batting, failed us but for this remarkable batting by Bhajji and our ever-dependable VVS. Kudos to both for saving the match for the World's No. Test Team...in their own backyard !!!

I don't think 52 runs in a test match is failure by any angle. In that logic, most of australian batsman including don bradman have been total failure in their careers.
It was a miraculuous escape from jaws of which could had been a sad defeat! Bhajji was too much with excellent support from Laxman! Laxman has always been the man who rescues India when she is in danger! Well Done team India!
Laxman is very special player that India has ever produced. We had and have great batsmen but none comes close to Laxman when it comes to saving or winning matches from jaws of defeat. Add to that his batting is so graceful, delicate and wonderful to watch. It's time that he should be promoted to no.3 and let him score more hundreds for India in last few years of his career. He somebody very very special as a batsman as well as a human being.

How do you know Laxman is very very special as a human being?
It is very stark difference between white batsman and subcontinent players. white player can not handle being down in form and they either take absence or retire. subcontinent players keep coming back because they have fighting instincts. It is shameful the way ricky ponting is hiding in the time of crisis of their team. I don't remember the name, but one english cricketer wrote in his book that a vary famous batsman will always be in the toilet before his turn in the batting comes, does anyone remember it as around 1987 world cup.
Well done Bhajji ! We were just wondering what took you so long. A good bowler and a ood bat, improve fielding a bit more, and we have a commendable All Rounder needed by the team.

Please....... We need a bowler. This passion for allround killed many including Irfan pathan. Bhajji 2 wickets value more any day than his 50.
All are happy that Harbhajan has scored century but at the same time we should not overlook his poor form as bowler. We should not forget that he is taken to bowl opposition out. If he had taken wickets like Oza India would have been a better position and need not have played the second inning. The MOM should have gone to Laxman who played his role extremely well and had encouraged and motivated Bhajji to remain in the crease. Sadly twice he was robbed of MOM award in recent time when foolishly players who scored more runs were given the award than the man who changed the course of the match by sheer display of patience and application.
