Are there really so many people in India who would shell out thousands of rupees for an evening. I understand a meal at the Zodiac Grill would also cost as much, but I wonder if its seating capacity is more than 100. A stadium is possibly a larger place.
I wonder, if I had a lot of unaccounted for money from somewhere, would it be convenient for me to jack up the price of something like say a local concert unrealistically, and then book false tickets and profits to convert my black money into white? Anyway, it is extremely difficult to audit the exact sales of tickets, versus number of people really attending the concert.
Those who r fool & can afford can go to make the politician-BCCI-players nexus pockets heavy...BUT the best view is on TV free of cost except a little power bill!!!!

The corrupt cricket bureaucracy in the country gets away with charging astronomical tickets prices because there is no dearth of rich and daft people who are more than willing to pay these prices. Ultimately it is a game of demand and supply...
