Artherton remarks are nothing but racist. Instead of looking at the positive part that England has promoted talent which could not find place in their home countries he is harping on the team being not "English" enough. Now we all know why England could not do anything worthwhile under his stint
If the policy makers of England think like this it will not be long before they lose whatever position they hold in World politics as well.
One should remember that world has become a global village and all are members of it.
it's a torniment win for 20:20. england has match winning player's if between pakistan & india in old serios match victory. congrats to england in comming 20:20 tournment.
"Nor can success in a Twenty20 tournament be equated with success over a five-match Test series" the best bowlers are limited to 4 overs only. and the field limitation during power play distorts the game. again limiting 20 overs puts the tail enders to stress. but if the game is to be speeded up and to entertain TV viewers, there is no alternative. limiting the batsmen to 24 balls will provide balance betwen bowlers abd batsmen. that would tell on the total strength of the team.

whatever,they played for england so it is english team.and truth remains england did fat better than their image in cricket,and outplayed best other team australia.England has lost very few matches in whole t20 series,so they are indeed the best,they deserved it.Indian team makes excuses of ipl.even australian players played in same ipl,and they reached finals,indian team needs more work to do than making excuses
I still think had Pakistan and Australia been in the same pool, we would have seen a AUS versus PAK final and it would have been a doozy! hands down Aussies and towards to the end of the tourney Pakistan played like lions!! speciall the semi final was a match to remember.....best T20 cricket I have seen in months...Saeed Ajmal tried his best and so did Hussey! what a match.

If Pakistan were in the same pool as australia, then certainly other teams ie india, srilanka or west indies would have defeated that ordinary team. They would not have gone into semis. Luckily they were in the pool where newzealand and south africa were there. Remember that even india had defeated SA hands down.

u must be kidding. while i do appreciate the way pakistani batsmen handled the aussie bowlers in semifinals, they are still as inconsistent (if not more) as far as batting goes and extremely sloppy (sloppier than our boys) when it comes to fielding. so i guess u just cracked the funniest joke of this millenium.

Pakistan just won two matches in the whole tournament. One of them was against Bangladesh and the other against chokers SA, who had the worst tournament. Just because they turned up knocking the ball all over the park one day, doesnt mean they are a good team. They are damn lucky to reach the Semi finals but deserve to go out.
This just shows the attitude issue. While US welcomes anyone and embrace them as their own and lauds and celebrates their achievements as their own - and you have countless of them, here you see a guy who instead of praising the men who brought glory to his country, trying to undermine their achievement. In doing so, he also reminds those men who have crossed over that they dont belong in UK.
