The new tigers are on the prowl
by Sunil Kumar on May 17, 2010 06:43 AM  | Hide replies

The new tigers are on the prowl !!! The game would reach new competitive heights now. Not only would Australia raise its bar now, but also teams like West Indies and New Zealand will now evolve as contenders for the top spots. The time is not far when India will slip down to fifth or sixth place unable to mend its ways and be as prepared as the other teams.

lol. Yeah if conditions are bouncy the new tigers are on prowl. This was australia's best chance to win the T20. Subcontinent teams weakened by unfamiliar conditions and poor team selection. But still the tigers couldn't win it. Let the tourney happen in places where it is not biased in one direction and you will probably see results as in 2008 and 2009.

VaRUN:

Sunil Kumar had referred to England as the Tigers.... but never mind... :)

I trust we can hope to win our next home ODI series given that we will again be playing on pitches biased for our own performance.... eh? :)

Determined England
by siva kumar on May 17, 2010 06:15 AM

This single tournament England seemed to determined to win. From the beginning they played no nonsense professional cricket. They bowled differently to a particular plan. Did not make any unnecessary noise in and out of field. It was professional and serious approach that won them this cup. By seeing the way England played they are most deserving to win. Nobody will have any grievance for England winning. Congrats to England.

Truth:

;-)... very well said... But its a pity that we still have to bow down to them when it comes to the Champions Trophy or the ODI World Cup title... :)

But the fantastic news was that the place where the convicts originally belonged to, won the tournament with a great fanfare... :)

You probably bow to them a little too much. Good that you let others know. No wonder the bias in your comments. :))
