praveen kumar was carrying this injury since IPL last 2 games i think (he didn't play in those games which was weird considering bangalore's team combo was almost perfect ), someone mentioned it in one of the matches and then it wasn't heard again maybe at the behest of BCCI wasn't mentioned one more time...he aggravated the injury by carrying this to the WI and playing on top of it...best of luck to him ...but shows the kind of management that goes on in cricket time and again...

wats wrong in missing a world cup. Family comes before professional life. Kevin Pietersen has openly said he will walk out in the middle of the game, even if its WC final, to be with his new born.
