Of course it would hurt, as it had hurt SA when they were playing against England in 1992 WC, and left with 22 to win off 14 balls, and then due to D/L, revised to 21 runs of 1 ball. Ironically England did not have anything against D/L then, but now that it has affected them, they cry - and to make it sound more plausible, add that they are against it in T20s and not ODIs. Although it is correct that 191 is a winning score, England should show the same "sportsman spirit" and "spirit of the game" and be "true to the law of the game" that they demanded of Wessels when he protested.

FYI, during the 92 world cup they used another system and not the D/L method. The D/L method was introduced after the fiasco in the 92 world cup. None of these system is perfect and England are know to whine and bitch when they loose. It is true in every sport be it team or individual.

well, that was not the D/L method dear. That was the worst ever rain-rule in the history of cricket - "highest scoring overs".

dude, get your facts right. It was not d/l which revised the score of sa in 1992 WC.it was another rain rule-"the most productive overs" rule which led to that farce.
Still,i agree that D/L needs to be revised for t20.i wonder what the result would have been if VJD method had been applied.

the VJD method, is a proposed method for calculating target scores in interrupted one-day and Twenty20 cricket matches. The method was devised by V Jayadevan, an engineer from the state of Kerala in India.
The system is should be revised for number of wickets falling with the new target. They revised the runs, but they won't revised the wickets to be used that runs.
For this match they have given 60 runs from 6 overs as target, what the position of wickets those windies lost, there are two wickets with this 60 runs, they have to calculate the wickets rates in D/L method.

The number of wickets available for chasing the revised target is must for fair result in such circumstances.
