Since T20 is basically a batsmen game, the bowlers should be chosen based on their line and length and not on any other facts. Srikanth keeps committing mistakes in selection and justify the same even incase of debacle. Ashish Nehra is a sheer waste as he has proved costly and not dependable. Youvi is eccentric and cannot be depended. Only batsmen who can be vouched are Sehwag, Gambhir, Dhoni and Yusuf Pathan. Even Praveen Kumar is miserable. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

i dont unserstand y bhajji is still in team!! anil kumble is playing very well inspite of his age!! anil wud've been selected if he had'nt retired!!
So if Irfan Pathan or Robin Uthappa/ Manish Pandey / Virat Kohli over P.Chawla or Rohit Sharma also serve as a Water boy only.
So this team is the best available team at present. One or two good performance in the beginning of IPL is not the criteria to pick.
Well done selectors. Dhoni would be very very happy man to have his preferred team then already failure cases like Robin or Irfan.
This would be the last chance for Y.Pathan and Rohit Sharma(if given a chance) to prove they are belongs to International Cricket, if they fail then the selectors must look forward towards new legs.
I think Manish Pandey missed out but you can't select 16 members, he is very young and he will get his chances in the future same for V.Kohli also.

After the great performance of ravinder jadeja in the last world cup ..he should have been selected in the test team of india.
he scored 1 century and 2 half centuries in recently concluded fifty over vijayhazare trophy....why he considering 4 day matches 4 selection...last year when uthappa performed in ranji and failed in IPL that time they considered IPL....it clearly shows biasedness...rohit is quota player in team

Take any Tiwari or Kumar it does not matter. INDIA WILL BE THRASHED IN THE WORLD CUP. JAY HO.
Robin Uthappa should show consistency. He was very inconsistent in Ranji, Deodhar trophy etc. Just because he performed in 2 or 3 IPL matches does not mean he should be selected.
Manish Pandey was struggling against good fast bowlers and hates bounce. He clearly needs more exposure to good fast bowling before being considered a serious player.
Sourabh Tiwary was unheard of (except U19 World Cup) and should perform more in Ranji and India A levels before even being thought of.
Virat Kohli clearly does not enjoy 20-20 format since he is not a slam bang player and does not fit into number 7 in the squad. He is more suited to build innings in the higher middle order where he has no place right now because of the more experienced players.
The ommission of Ojha can be attributed to the fact that Piyush Chawla is a better batsman than ojha and can be termed as a bowling all rounder.
Vinay Kumar, a la Praveen Kumar does not have the pace for this level. Praveen Kumar at least has the swing to work in his favour.

good observation..but....what about Rohith sharma`s weakness againest fast short pitched up deliveries?....what about Nehra`s consistant illness......I doubt Raina`s capabilities aginest fast short pitched up balls......

Do u think the Team selected is good in all respects ? Yousuf pathan played only 2 good innings in this IPL & Rohit Sharma is as good as nothing.More over there is injury problems in the team. Do you want to take all injured & out of form players to win the World cup ?
Dhoni, Gambhir, Nehra is injured Yuvraj,Pathan,Rohit out of form. Sehwag & Harbhajan are like lottery
Dhoni, Gambhie, Sehwag, Raina, Yusuf, Harbhajan, Zak, Praveen and Vinay are ok. The others are debateble and in some cases absurd. Currently Yuvraj and Rohit are not in the best of form. The choice for these spots ahould have been given to Uttapa and Saurab Tiwari. On current form Murali Kartik is better than the spinners selected. The most absurd is the selection of Nehra - the man (1) cannot field (2) not been in the international arena for some time and (3) will break down before the T@) tournament starts. He is a liability on the field. For long the Indian thingk has talked about t20 as young mans game - if Nehra can be selected bring back Tendulkar and Kumble.

tiwari-flash in the pan,allow him to mature,he will compete with dhoni if you include him now,dhoni will finish his career as he did with ojha at the cost of even losing world cup
