Chances for Lara to be selected by an franchisee is dim since age plays a big role n he was a big failure in ICL.The only thing tat mite make him attractive is the "great batsman" tag,but will b underpaid, which might b an insult for him.Even a great bowler like Glenn McGrath w(who bowled really well in IPL 1) was shown the door n kept in the nech during IPL 2.

It will be great to see Lara in action. Though he failed in ICL, but IPL will get a big boost with the inclusion of Lara. Also I would say very easily Wasim Akram can still play. They way he sitting & giving instructions to his team members & his full body language suggests that he can saily fit into any IPL side. Further we would have loved to see King Richards in the IPL also. But sadly IPL has started after they quit.

Leave aside Modi,he is a shrewd business mind but what about Shastri/Akram/Gavaskar/Srikant and other former cricketers who r in the bandwagon only for the money and in who have failed at being the custodians of the real game .Even guys like Sachin/Kallis/Ganguly/Gilcrist/Dravid and other senior players who having made their entire name/fame etc and are practically demi gods playing test/ODIs are now lending their participation to the IPL for sake of money is only further damaging the game.We will lose a entire generation of quality cricketers due to this Tamasha if this format is not reined in soon and a correct balance not maintained
Can anytell me y can't you take a digital cam in stadium... you can take a camera mobile ... digital camera is not allowed wot kind of f.. IPL rules .. modi only knowss
This masala cricket that promotes mediocrity will soon lose its sheen. The stadiums are already showing signs of fatigue & will soon make Modi come to senses.Indians will be tired of this round the year cricket tamasha which is sure shot remedy to kill the game.

this is the mos intelligent and true comment on this board. cricket is soon going to die because of this overkill. soon all this will mean nothing to the public as the team is playing everyday...

Again we are heading for T20 WC debale at the cost of IPL as most of the key players would be unfit by the end of IPL3.

Till now we were in the honey moon period of the IPL. Already the highs are dying down. People already know that initial few games are just a wait and watch stuff. Only in the last 15 days, the semifinal contenders will be looked forward to.
Some matches may be going down the wire, but, I wouldnt like to invest 45 evenings to know that my team is not going to reach even semies, it just isnt worth it. Last 15 evenings, yes, if my team is still alive.
