Glen Mcgrath.

Wondering why one of the greatest bowler of all time Glen McGrath is sitting out of the IPL. I hope he is playing for Delhi in this season. Gambhir should make use of McGrath's experience at the highest level.

McGrath Vs Sachin - The New Battle Old Foes...If this happens then it would be real treat to watch. Hope Gambhir is listening. Please include McGrath in your team.

His contract has been sold out by Delhi so he is no longer with the squad but it really surprises to me also.

Guys, its not politics, its just the format of the game. At a time only 4 overseas players are allowed to play in a match. If David warner has to play then either Dilshan or AB has to sit out. The other two are bowlers - Parvez and D nannes. It is just the harsh reality. no matter what you did in the past, it matters what you are today. tomorrow if Lara will start playoing IPL then I wonder he has to make route to the team only on his performances.

Wot a stupid joke. Mr Arun are you Crazy??? Brian Lara has served the Stupid West Indies team for nearly two decades. He has produced some brilliant knocks only to see the Stupid worthless Windies Team loosing 3-0 or 5-0 to other teams. He has gone thru so much tough times for his stupid team. Lara shouldnt get associated with the STUPID West Indies team ever after this. Enuf of his sacrifices to this hopeless team. BRIAN LARA if you are listening please make an entry to the IPL the next season. Indian Public are eager to see the two Legends of the Game Sachin and Lara in the IPL.

Hey,
Do not attack me.Iam speaking the truth. Please around the world are concerned about the decline of the west indies cricket.Everyone wants the windies to weave their calypso magic as they did in the 80s.Please correct me if Iam wrong in feeling for this team.
I have sincerely wish that Brain Lara gives something back to the Windies cricket as a coach and try to achieve what he could not do as a player and captain in Windies cricket.
And after all, what is wrong in me saying this.He knows all the Windies players from Adrain Bharath,Gayle and Chandrapaul. He could be a great coach. Why should he not give it a try?
Also in IPL,veterans like Mcgrath were humiliated. He was warming the bench in the second IPl.If that is the wish of his own and the Indian crowd, then so be it!!Why I should take concern and waste my time on it?

Lara at 40, in IPL ?
by Ezhil Maran on Mar 15, 2010 06:39 PM  | Hide replies

Brian Charles Lara is 40 now and has not played for nearly two years. Don't know if it is such a good idea to come back now, though it is for T20s.

However, there have been some amazing comebacks in sports and this could be one of them, if he gets picked by any franchisee.

While everyone involved in ICL gets a second respectful chance, its time that BCCI utilize the experience and intelligence of Kapil Dev, by making respectful grounds for his second coming. After all, it was he who laid the foundation stone for all these riches.

Nicely said.No body is taking about the ICL which introduced these concepts.
The team names involved with cities and the rules of foreign players with local players and to share all the talent.
Because of the dominance of BCCI in world cricket ICL was not able to laat long though the format is good with great cricketing talents.
But look at the talents from the IPL Rayudu,Sathish,Murtaza Ali are all shining in IPL.
Now IPL is exact cope of IPL but only difference it involves current cricker stars both FOREIGN and INDIAN players
