Cricket is a Hyped sport with double hyped players. Some people never look like sport players . With all these mixed with POLITICAL Drama from Selector . The most nonsense talking and thinking selector we have , just think how can SHRIKANTH select good team. Heights of JOKE

Did you every try playing other sport than cricket when your were a kid? I bet you did not. It was the situation from a long time, but people along with generations are slowly changing, have patience
This is just a political ploy to bring Tamil Pets back into the team. Here the trainer is also Tamilian. Now Srikanth is trying desperately and best way is to go to media first. That way, Srikanth can get all the required strengh. He is very careful in choosing the players also. Offspinner and a batsman. That will help Srikanth to push for his tamil pets Ashwin and Vijay Murali/ Dinesh Karthik. First of all, it is better to evaluate the credentials of team trainer Ramji Srinivasan. Noone knows his name. Suddenly people started hearing lot of tamil names. It is better to kick out Srikanth from selection committee before he pollutes the whole system. Remember that Sachin likes S Tiwari a lot and he appreciated him in many interviews.

Mohan Chellappa - My question is very simple. Is this attitude issue is only with the above two or with the whole team? Please don't tell me that all others are buddhas.

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves and you should not call yourselves Indians. This is the issue with most of today's generation -- you bring regionalism into play and try to see a political ploy in everything one does. Instead of seeing the real issue with players you decide to write about someone's regionalism etc. So needless to say you must be a Northie who has many pets that are begging to get into the national team..

Also note that Ojha and Tiwari don;t have any Godfathers. Its unfortunate that merit is not playing any role. Also unfortunate that Srikanth is scooped to such a low level.

Satish Kunnathayoli! Polayaadi monae... nintey ammedey koothi!
six months we never heard of any ashwin, murli vijay, kartik, oja, but now indian team is getting filled up with all tamil people. Dats is wrong with indioan cricket. If selectors are from north they will chose noth people, ifr from mumbhi they will chose mumbikariany and now southies. performance should be preferred over region,
What does rediff want to say by making such silly points? Ojha is a spinner and Tiwary is techincally good. We have had good batsmen with poor physical record like Sehwag, Laxman and Ganguly. They were neither physically very fit nor good runners. But still they have been more than good batsmen. Ojha is the best spinner India has right now whatever his athleticism. If the selection was to made on how fast or good one can run many of well established players won't have made in the team.

If this had happened in Australia, these guys would have been sent home.. Andrew Symonds was removed from the team for indiscipline during training

absolutely nonsense.....it's a sports, played over quite a long duration, without fitness and training routines, it is imposible to perform at international level with such a tight schedule.....the most "silliest" comments ....all the above players "suffered" due to their lack of fitness during their career....modern day cricket is lot more abt a "fit" team v/s unfit team....remeber "AUSSY" players...their performances...

"bullshit".....we have allready seen the so called performances of these "phalthu" 20-20 format players at international tournaments recently...no ability , no attitude....these guys r good for party dancing, dont know y u guys defend these so called "young" players ....just fit enough to play "phalthu" 20-20 format.....international cricket is all abt performing under pressure, fitness and ability are the most important aspects.....there is absolutely no politics involved in this...BCCI must kick out these nonsense, incapable , phalthu players immediately out of the team...team india needs committed cricketer like "rahul dravid" at the middle order...it's "nonsense "to support this kind of attitude of a player...

Sunil - I agree with you that players are becoming less committed and more party oriented. It's difficult to blame the players also. The players are becoming rich overnight and hence killing their focus, passion and intensity. adding to this is Srikanth who is trying to pinch in his players. I believe it is better to reduce the amounts involved in IPL

Adding to this is Rediff is also from chennai. That's why it mentioned that Ashwin did his job

the BCCI take strict action against these joker youngsters in the indian team. Get money by performance only otherwise get lost. They should announce to youngsters perfrom or perish.
Re: its time
by Arpit Patel on Jun 17, 2010 07:31 PM
BCCI should pay this shit youngster players by performance and fitness only not by past performance. Get rid of their contract. Pay them accordingly to performace per match. If they perform poorly then don't pay them. If youngsters don't like this then they should kick them out immediately.

You should learn to ccpet the truth. Indians fare well in cricket because it is technical game and not physical. Just like Indians do well in Chess.
When it comes to physical endurance Indians are always found lacking? One Saina Nehwal or Karun Chandok doesn't make Indians sproting.
