Indian team is fully riding on the batsmen alone for sometime now..
In tests, batsmen succeed in 8 out of 10 matches on current form...
When they fail, we lose.. Even when they succeed, If Zaheer and Bhajji bowls well, we win.. Otherwise, settle for draw..
In ODI's its getting even tougher.. Whatever batsman scores is not enough for our bowlers.. Even 400 is won only in last over delivering 30 continuous yorkers.. Youngsters are not that hungry to get place and cement themselves as obvious replacements for the current seniors..
Whoever is captain after couple of years is really going to find it tough.. Like WI.. No wonder if cricket detoriates completely in India like Hockey in 1980's after the retirement of Sachin, Dravid and VVS..
If so, for entertainment alone we can have two/three IPLs per year and completely ignore international matches after the retirement of the greats.. Atleast we can be happy that the winning team will have a Indian city name in it :-)
India could have saved this match had our captain played sensibly today morning along with VVS. Dhoni, Yuvi and Gambhir should learn a lesson or two from Ishanth & Mithun in how to occupy the crease.

I think picking only 6 is tough.. So many players ll be left out.. No fast bowlers.. Many great batsmen and leaders left out..

yes you are right, but if you are looking for Legends, it should be short list; otherwise the world 'Legend' becomes meaningless.
These are the player who are unique in their own ways.

Initial attempt..not bad...no fast bowlers as legend...exposes ur limited knowledge on cricket... Think on ur own..I am trying to develop ur thought process.. if u can't, I will surely help u...

People like you are the ultimate losers in real life, because they never look into their own shortcomings.
Bye the way, I feed hundreds of underprivileged people like you who are working on daily wages.
dhoni knows that he is safe as far as captaincy is concerned,so he can afford to fail sreenivasan, shrikant n the chennai brigade is there to protect him but yuvi is not safe if he fails then he will lose his place in he test squad

It will happen for everyone.. Once Yuvi was very safe under Ganguly/Dravid.. Now he is in the list of fire.. Even now, Dhoni is a close friend of Yuvi and when fit, Yuvi will find place in team by default..
What a great performance by captain FOOL DHOBI. If Ishant can stay on pitch for more than 100 mins then why so called great captain getting billions for ads can save this match for India.

I agree partially with you. But I think UV is talented, although a careless person. You need someone who is good at managing people to get best out of UV. That where a coach or a captain comes in picture. I think young Ganguly was good at it, so was Kapil.

Ok..apart from the main coach, bowling coach, fielding coach, u should join the team management as "mental" coach...
Indian Team as usual presented a great farewell gift to one of the finest bowlers of all time by helping him to claimed 800 wickets (even he wasn't sure of claiming it before the Test started) and presented a wonderful present to him by GIFTING the TEST Match within 4 days where Hearath & Maling scored a lot and our Batsman (except Sehwag in 1st Innings and Sachin & Laxman in 2nd Innings)struggled to score the runs....

He is very clever and calculative.. will last two years he plays one and skips two series...next two years he will play only one test in a year...after that he will plead to be included only as substitute to get his endorsement fees.. see what a cheap publicity he is doing for his book...
