Dennis Lillee is the king of all fast bowlers of all times and the incomparable Sir Vivian Richards is the king of all explosive batsmen of all times. In their heydays, they were the ultimate champs, masters of their domains, crowd pullers. Both, Lillee and Sir VIV, will remain champ players for all times to come.

hi Mr.arul kumar,i agree wth u.ur advice is considerable but he himself insisted tht he doesnt hav enuf fitness 2 bowl consistently in tests.n atpresent india need YOUNG BLOOD who perform as ishant did suring aus series.but u said d rite thng.sorry if i hurt ur senti's
Mr.mehta,i think u deserve medical check up b4 commenting on dhoni's character.i think india returned wth a flyin colors almost al abroad series.wat guyz!?am i rite....plz do share..
I agree with both chappel and Lillee, India does not have a killer bowling attack but it is still balanced and the reason why I think we can maintain #1 status is because no one else has a better attack than us. Australia does not have a genuine spinner to win in sub continent and same goes for SA. If anything England has a better spinner in Swann but they don't have a consistent batting line up. So if you look at both batting and bowling it is India that looks good at this point, for me the weakest aspect of this Indian test team is it's fielding. If we can take all the catches India is a very tough side.

Ground FIELDING..no chance..even after 20 years our fielding level will be the same. It's not there in our blood. Basically we indians are not good athletes by birth. There should be some exceptions like Mohd.Azharuddin. Unless we start playing (running race,foot-ball, rugby, baseball compulsory )at the very childhood level, it's difficult to improve our fielding level once we have grown up like 20/25 yrs.
BALANCE IS GOOD IN LIFE AS WELL AS PROFESSION........THERE SHOULD BE A THING CALLED PROFESSIONAL ETHICS......DO U KNOW ABOUT THIS? DO U KNOW SOCIAL AUDICTING OF CO.HOW CO.S FOLLOWING BEST PRACTICES AND SOCIAL VALUES CAN RAISE THEIR MARKETIBILITY AND SHARE PRICE......TATA IS BEST EXAMPLE FOR THIS.......TIMES OF INDIA'S AMAN KI AASA OR ONE RS. OF THIS WILL GO TO HERRT FOUNDATION WHAT R THIS....THIS IS CALLED SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AS WELL AS MARKETABILITY......ANY TAKERS?OR OPPOSSERS ARE MOST WELCOME...I M READY TO ARGUE TO PROVE MY POINT HERE ONLY.......

What it hast to do with CRICKET ? Would like to see you saying the same thing to fella AUSTRALIANS, atleast INDIANS there will be saved :-))
Lilee was in Chennai and so he was being polite to the media. He cannot be serious or speaking the truth. Indian bolwers except for Zaheer and Mishra struggled against even Bangladesh. So how can Lillee say that India has a balanced bowling attack? That is utter rubbish. Ishanth used to be good pace bowler in 2008 but not anymore. Otherwise why would the selectors pick a debutant like Abhimanyu Mithun so eary in his career if India had a balanced bowling? Yes, Mithun is good bowler but he is too young and inexperienced in International cricket. India's spin bowling is so weak as it has been never ever been before. India's strength lies in its batting. India's bowling is really weak at the present moment.

yes you are right. Plus you make such statements to make yourself popular in the country and Lillee knows which sideof the bread is buttered. Our spin bowling in the absence of Kumble looks very weak and the worry is unlike th e batting line up there is seems to be no spinner pushing hard for a place.
