LOL really, I mean really Mr Afridi
by Kalinga Putra on Jan 30, 2010 12:22 AM

LOL really, I mean really Mr Afridi. We didn't know such sane voices existed in Pakistan. You have surprised us.But this voice of sanity is more like an acknowledgement of the fact that profit motives and laws of economics eventually guides all our actions.India is galloping at 8-9% and pakistan continues to implode and sprinting towards the edge of a cliff. It's not a matter of if but when. Why any sane person from India would like to associate with a country that would soon become bankrupt and plead everyone else for alms is beyond me.Tragedy is we have a guy like MMS as PM who is pushing this Pakistan agenda, overruling even National Security Advisor. All this Paki-India Bhai bhai basically should be read as Paki-Punjab bhai bhai.I doubt a Marathi or Bihari or Tamil has anything to do with a Paki.

PRESENTLY AFRIDI & CO. ARE NOT WELCOMEI IN INDIA
by damodaran mohan on Jan 29, 2010 06:38 PM

Pak should first improve relations and then think of playing cricket together and not the other way round.India has tried this since Zia's days but it doesn't help.Afridi & co must understand that under this environment of Pak sponsored terror pakistani cricketers are not welcome in India.May be if the situation improves by IPL-4 , then Pak cricketers would be welcome. For that the Pak establishment and people there must work sincerely for improvimg relations with india by disociating and completely wiping out jihadi terror from their soil.

Cricket can not create relations:
by anup kale on Jan 29, 2010 06:18 PM

We are playing Cricket with so many countries for many years. But never heard this sports making any difference to political relationship. Secondly with Pakistan if same was happened in England or Australia then probably they won't have expressed feelings so loudly. Any small opportunity to criticize India is welcome for them. With Afridi's logic, I firmly believe whatever happened was solely due to their government. They should find perpetrators of 26/11 and hang them. Its simply good for them.

Yes, the IPL fiasco would surely been avoided had Pakistan not perpetrated the Mumbai attacks.

And yes, it would be nice to walk the talk. If he is hell-bent in bridging the Indo-Pak divide, then he should take part in the IPL without charging anything.

Apne Girehban Mein Jhanko ! (contd. from previous message)

After all, Abida Parvin and several other artistes are coming and performing here and we welcome them as always . You are a hero in your country. Take a stand and create some public opinion against your state's policies with respect to terrorism. We may be attcked now and then but your people are attacked almost every week, even when they are offering NAMAZ in mosques. When will you wake up ? 2 days back the Indian newspapers carried an item that in June/July 500 players will be auctioned for IPL IV. I knew then that your anger would dissipate soon enough and that is what has happened. You are a terrific cricketer and we want to see you play but please don't preach. Look within yourself !!

poorkistanis are really a bunch of jokers..

IPL hit them where it hurts them most (on their purses..)..

no other action from any indian agency has been so successful in hitting them so effectively..

whole poorkistan is busy applying burnol to their hinds..
