why do u ppl hate sachin sooo much?? personally im not a big fan of sachin but i also i dont find reasons to hate!!! why do u keep comparing him with ponting.....whatever sachin is he is atleast not a cheater!!! what do u get by citicizing an indian against an aussie.......u will nt find a single aussie praising tendulkar while bashing ponting!!! u blamed him yesterday and 2day for playing for himself....but atleast it helped india cross the 200 mark!!! what did the other players in the team playing "for india" do???

i dint say that aussies dont like sachin......but they will never praise sachin soo much against punter like how indians do (criticizing fellow indians)!! btw i have lived in dubai for 15 yrs!! :D
Sachin must have scored a century against minnows.But what about the rest of the batsmen has done against Bangladesh? If sachin fails to score century,what will be the Indian score?So congrats to sachin to take the score above 200.

Sr. Jaykumar, yeah you are damn right because that's why India couldn't win a single ODI tournament in which Sachin was abscent! Right! And the latest example is recently finished ODI tournament in which they played with their full strength but still couldn't win the tournament, off course Sachin was abscent there! Not wining a single ODI cup without Sachin in 20 years looks a little strange, no?

Fonny, in the only World Cup we won, there was Sunil Gavaskar, and some Sardarji fellow, what was his name... Navjot Singh Sidhu...no, no, saaree Sar, Balwinder Singh Sandhu. He and a Karnataka team-mate, Syed Kirmani put up 46 runs against the mighty Windies. Ofcourse,they all played as a team. But then, that does not matter to you.

arre yaar..y u all are spreading regionalism..Sachin is an Indian..n i think all othr players r also Indians..It doesnt matter frm which state u belong, until n unless u r performing..n Sachin is performing better dan anyone else from past 20 yrs..
Today, while everyone knows how century from Sachin came at the absolute crisis time for India, I fear that a year later the Sachin-bashers will only count it as a century against a weaker team, Bangladesh.
I hope the stats consider the % contribution to the game.
Yes Punter has also faced bowlers like wasim,waquar,saqlain,ambrose,walsh,donald butonly ata time when all these great bowlers have passed their prime and were on the verge of retirement.... REMEMBER WHEN ALL THESE GREAT BOWLERS WERE IN THEIR PRIME(throughout 90s and early 2000s) SACHIN USED TO MASTER ALL OF THEM WHILE PUNTER WAS WONDERING WHAT THIS GAME WAS ALL ABOUT.

Yup! Punter has just started to perfome after 2000. Before that he was just an avg player. Yet, I accept, now, he is a class player! But he has never ever carried a burden of enormous expectations like Sachin!That makes a differance.

Arghya Pal, You give names of some great pak, SA and WI bowlers against whom sachin was successful. While sachin was successful against walsh and ambrose he was a total failure against Donald. Similarly he was not very successful against pakistani bowlers either. May I point out to you that his record against SA and Pak who have the best fast bowlers is very bad as compared to his overall average. Against SA- 20 tests 36 innings 1202 runs, 169 highest with 3 100s and 5 50s with an average of only 35.35 runs. Against Pak - 18 tests 27 innings 1057 runs, 194 not out highest 2 100s and 7 50s with an average of 42.28 runs

So an avg of 42 is bad, Mr Sunil? Every player has deviations in his records against different countries, so has Sachin. But every Pak and SA bowler accept him a "hard to get" batsman. More besides, if his record against them is not very imprevessive, then neither of is any other's.

ambrose and walsh were gone by the time punter made into the game... also punter didnt open so he did not face as many pace bowlers as sachin did... hope everyone analytical ability blooms from here
Guys go check what each of the these stalwarts told about Sachin...they have all looked at him as an inspiration right from domestic games when they were 16 or 17 ... imagine each of these stalwarts are great themself. This is the real testimonial for a true Genius Sachin. What more do we need?
