India is already in the final
by M Alem on Jan 10, 2010 01:33 AM

India is already in the final. The recent series against SL showed beyond any doubt that India is a far far far superior team. Moreover SL may rest some of the players. Dhoni and Comany will make a pulp out of them today.

remove all ausis cricketers from ipl
by virat v on Jan 10, 2010 01:02 AM  | Hide replies

remove all ausis cricketers from ipl at once.

sometimes, i feel movie associations r doing better job. they hv called for no shoots in ausis due to the prevailing situation there.
even amitabh bachhan has shown his anger at the incidents n refused to take some ausi honour in protest.
but this lalit modi rasK1l is not doing anything.
v shud at once, stop all the activities thru which ausis get benefits from us.
stop shooting in ausis land.
stop 'exporting' ind students for so-called higher studies.
stop taking ausis cktrs in ipl.

Asstralians are scared that if Indians stay back, they will see many brown faces in the cricket team.

This will confuse them during India-Asstralia matches.

Also, Asstralia will lose important matches as Asstralians of Indian origin will play badly to allow Indian team to win.

its really disapointing to hear about the racism happening to indians in australia. we should show our protest but at the same time it should not affect the relationship with aus. Better the reltation with the country better is for every one.

THEAUSSIES ARE LEAST INTERESTED IN IPL and always put COUTRY before club wheras we are the other way and we have seen the result in IPL and other consequence of not winning any other tourney
As far as the students problem,it is time that the students also learnto behave properly in a foreign land.

where is that pace bowler namex singh (?) from raj royals who was touted as the fastest bolr. v need to get stuff like him in ind team n not like those munaf n ishant who after 1 or 2 matches, become slowest bolrs in the name of (in)consistency.

Agarkar - Yeah why not. The Champ who cannot field and bowls wides consistently. Arvin needs to know cricket, before adds his comments. Seems to a Gavakar Khaandaan ka buchcha.

my views on indian team
by venkatesh on Jan 09, 2010 06:41 PM

there is no doubt that indian team is far better than the srilanka and bangladesh. To arise as the world no.1,indian team have to concentrate more on their fielding.Recently dhoni had commented that their fielding was a worrying factor to them due to the absence of fielding coaches.I believe india can beat srilanka with a great margin of runs.

Indian Bowlers
by pakaya on Jan 09, 2010 04:34 PM  | Hide replies

After watching BAN vs Ind match, my suggestion that Zaheer and Bhajji must be rested and given the practice in Ranji matches, when they get their rhythm should call back in national team, we should not keep players on their past performance, a player should get not more then for matches to get this form or tell him go to state team. We have a good bench stregthn in these days and should utilised it.
Chak de India.

No Great Bowlers
by Senthil Kumar on Jan 09, 2010 04:03 PM  | Hide replies

If India wanted to compete with other teams like Australia , SA and Pakistan, they need to produce match winning fast bowlers like Bollinger, Johnson, Dale Steyn , Morkel , Mohammed Amer and Mohd Asif.

I can't remember any Indian fast bowler performing CONSISTENTLY in the last 10-20 matches. Occasionally taking 3-4 wickets is okay but that consistency shown by the above bowlers and dreadful pace they bowl is the key.

Unfortunately, India can't depend on the old foxes Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel and Nehra to do the job and the new guns Ishant Sharma, Sreesanth are simply not consistent enough.

If India need to win the world cup 2011, they have to do it with their spin attack comprising Bajji, R Jadega , Sehwag , Yuvraj and Rohit Sharma.
