Cricket will soon lose its charm if it is allowed to run the way it is run at present.
One can not fool spectators for long. The way the quality of cricket is deteriorating, cricket fan will soon lose interest in it.
Who says Match Fixing is no more there in cricket--earlier it was done through players but now it is done by cricket boards, is well supported (behind the door) by ICC.
No wonder you see so many matches on flat pitches and meaningless bilateral or trilateral series among subcontinent teams--"you scrub my back and I will scrub yours" kind of mentality.
Cricket was much more interesting when a score of 250 was a challenging score in comparison to now when even a score over 300 is not safe.

Come on man, dont be a chicken, even insurance gets invalid if the information provided is false, so u will say that Insurance companies will fail, white a$$ likar !!
In India, we have always been running after various people - may it be business, sports, politics or any thing. All other nationals always look at Indians with similar arrogance & meanness and we Indians for whatever reason just remain silent. I guess, IPL is only place where We Indians are able to be feel better over others, including Australis & England. Least here, we should definitely dectate our terms & deal the world in their style without caring about their seniority or past records... Lalit Modi - I admire you so much for creating such an aura with IPL. Even the non cricket playing nationals are curiously looking upto India. Like We in India crazily follow EPL or NBA, now people are looking to Indian Sporting Event !!!!
Can BCCI maintain the similar stand on the ban on Azhar? It seems some elements within BCCI want to remove the ban on him. Let us see how much worth BCCI's integrity on these type of issues.
Lalit Modi's comments only reveal his arrogance and the kind of meanness to which he can stoop. He does not even have the courtsey to recognise the seniority, performance and class of Cairns. Unfortunately anybody with money and an ability to manipulate can ride the cricket horse. There is plenty of money in the coffers, and people like Modi can get away by saying anything against anyone.Cairns need not quarrel with people like Modi, and on the other hand can concentrate on better things in life.

If Cairns knew he was unfit to bowl and thus, not able to fulfill his contract obligations, yet signed up anyways without informing ICL, then he was being dishonest, and his dismissal would be more than warranted- if that's the case. Under the circumstances, Modi is within his rights to exclude Cairn from the IPL auction. But is there a double-standard??
Modi is noting but a arrongant mad D0$, He is basking in the glory of IPL, He will make loads of money and players will get burned out,and in the end cricket will becomelike hockey.
This Modi is an absolute JOKER. Shane Warne has been involved im Match fixing scandals, drug abuses, sex scandals and don't know what all..... Yet he is captaining and coaching an IPL team. No complaints. B.U.L.L. S. H. I. T.

Sreejit Steve:
In Modi's language - "Legally Warne may be correct. But he has a stigma around him for the same and as such the governing council has decided to withdraw his name from the auction."
So all YOU have proven is that Warne's drug abuse and sexcapades did NOT put a stigma around him? :-)

Is there a law in cricket, that if you have drugs and sexcapades, you are declared as clean bold, or retired hurt ?
