Indians doesnt deserve to be No 1
by unknown rahul on Jan 05, 2010 11:52 PM  | Hide replies

Indian team doesnt deserve to be No.1, nor No.2 which they are currently.

They are good only at one part of the game i.e batting. I can't see any commitment from this Indian team when they field. Look at the way our guys field. Zaheer khan, Harbhajan all doesnt even want to bend full stretched. They doesnt even show the commitment what we show in gulli cricket. Australians are No.1 and deserve to be, look at the standard they set in the field. This indian team cant even match this in dreams. Any coach cant teach these lazy guys to bend down and how to field. They just need luxury life.

I dont know when Indian bowlers will learn bowling yorkers. In todays match except 1 ball i couldnt see one proper yorker bowled by our experienced bowlers. Learn something from these new comers from Srilanka. Indian bowlers lack variation, good yorker. They just know to give width to the batsman. They might say due factor, bt in actual Indian bowling unit is one of the pathetic in the world. Zaheer khan is getting experienced in giving runs.

They should just reverse the ICC ranking of Srilanka and India. God bless India

Can't blame the players alone. They have been playing constantly. They need some break.

This was a meaningless game in a meaningless series in a meaningless sub-par venue. Dew worked against Indian bowlers but being the true number one India never complained.

dravid better than dhoni
by vinay on Jan 05, 2010 11:24 PM  | Hide replies

dhoni bats for 37 runs off 70 balls. so strike rate of 50 in odi.
its better to hv dravid as wkt keeper batsman, he scores faster than this dhoni.

If dhoni scored 70 balls 70 runs..India would have win..Dhoni if u r not scoring 4s and 6s dont waste bals..play singles or doubles in safer side...Dont be a cause for losing the game..

True colors of indian team and BCCI
by soma shekar on Jan 05, 2010 11:11 PM  | Hide replies

This is not the home made pitch that BCCI use to make to support only bat and pull crowd and make money, Now we can see some true colors of our team. Time to bribe bangladeshi criket board to make some BCCI pitches.....

this is a meaningless series played at a sub-par venue. The fact is -- India is the number one team in all form of cricket.

Correct. Losing meaningless world cups, meaningless home series against depleted Australia and winning meaningless matches against Sri Lanka on dead pitches at home all are meaningless. :)

What is meaningful is that whether we win or lose we are number one since 1932... :)

True. An overconfident BCCI missed to buy Bngladesh board to make pitches of their choice. BCCI did very well in NZ last year to prepare pitches suitable to India batting lineup and spin bowlers. Otherwise NZ pitches before that used to be graveyard of Indian Cricket team.

so what..Australia was beaten by India down under..
Its such a game which very few nations play (coz of length)and 3-4 teams will always be in contention for number 1.

SL won the toss and sent India to bat. Even SL admitted that they beat Bangladesh because of the dew. India faced the same trouble last night but never complained befitting the number one team in all from of cricket.

Ajit AGarkar is so pathetic!!!
by Maihoon Don on Jan 05, 2010 10:58 PM  | Hide replies

He is India;s worst bowler thats why he was replaced by the likes of Ishant, Nehra, Zaheer, Sreesanth, Praveen Kumar etc who are taking India to heights of success.

ViNAY:

On the other hand, the present bowlers look like a pace bowler only when they run. :)

Not when they bowl. :)

Excellent actors, I must say. :)

WORLD NUMBER THEN (10 years back, Australia) and now (India)
by Arvind KS on Jan 05, 2010 10:40 PM  | Hide replies

WORLD NUMBER THEN (10 years back, Australia) and now (India) are unmatcheable.

Australia dominated the world crciket when it was richest in its talent like Inzi, Sachin, Lara, Saeed Anwar, Kirsten, Kallis, Walsh, Ambrose, Wasim, Waqar, Donald, Pollock, Saurav, Murali, and so on).

Indian team is not able to dominate a third string australia (which they losr 2-4), and third string Srilanak (today's loss) and you never know it Bangaldesh take them to wire in their next match.

This cricket team is overhyped and the reason is mediocrity of world crciket as on today.

one can't expect a player to hit century in every innings, so the fans have to be patient when the team fails.

Gambhir is playing in a temporary position in this series.Let him settle at this position which Sachin had robbed from him. Gambhir also knows that when Tendulkar will be back, he will thrash him to No. 3 position once again.

SS:

Too bad for Gambhir. He should play with the bat. Why does he play with the position? :)

And god forbid, if Sachin or Sehwag get out within first 5 overs and Gambhir is required to practically open the innings, he will perform the same way again?

Too unreliable a batsman. Let's get some YOUNGSTERS instead. :)
