so many matches, sehwag gets out in single digits. why making a scapegoat of dhoni, just because he is a from a particular region.
Re: Re: Dhobi Failed Miserably..and ..
by Reality Check on Feb 28, 2010 07:55 PM
dont talk region bias now!!!! sehwag and dhoni are both from the same region!!! why only dhoni is handpicked for criticism always??? not because of region but his actions are like that!!! this is like azhar telling that he was made a scapegoat in matchfixing because he was from minority community!!! stop this biassh1t and talk facts

how many matches has shewag got out for single digits ? he has been reason india has won many matches due to good start
dhoni always try to come down to escape responsiblity and often gets out for low scores.

then how come Dhoni has the highest average of all the Indian ODI players of all the time?
Re: Re: Re: Dhobi Failed Miserably..and ..
by Avijeet Singh on Feb 28, 2010 07:37 PM
ICC an independent and impartial body, free from India's regional hatred for Biharis, has given Dhoni rank 1. This must be for some reasons.

SORRY ONE CORRECTION IN MY MESSAGE. well said Avijeet Singh. We as indians should not have hatred for any person from any state. Lets support whoever wins matches for our country. Dhoni has a very good average and strike rate to support.
Lets kick this person who has kept name as Almighty and spreading hatred towards Dhoni

who are you loudaKaBal? why have u kept name like "Almightly"? Its our duty as cricket fans to support our team
It may sound harsh but then its not far away from the truth. Dhoni and Kirsten (and Srikant) have not handled the bench strnegth wisely enough. I am not of the opinion that we have world class bench strength like probably Aussies ahve, but whatever limited we have, is being used PATHETICALLY.
What these ridiculous captain and coach was doing, when team INDIA was playing against minnows. Why not they have tried, SUDIP TYAGI, MITHUN, ABHISHEK NAYYER, ASHWIN, MANISH PANDEY and others. Why SUDP TYAGI was on the bench for last 1 year, without even allowed to play domostic when he was not even in the playing 11 and twelth man. He lost his rhythem and his penetration. He looked so mediocre in the game against SA that even one can ask why he was selected at frst place. Why BALAJI was called for one match and then kicked out without even given a chance to perform.
Why you need to play a full strength side and give repeated chances for out of form, SHRESANTH and ISHANT and NEHRA. To me NEHRA is also out of form, though DHONI has praised him. But ZAHEER apart, you have all other bolwers of mediocre class.
The INDIAN think tank lack the capability of grooming youngsters. Also DHONI deperately want to create a position for his belvoed RP SINGH so that could a strategy not to allow right platofrm for budding fast bowlers. And finally to say the least, its TAMILNADU KOTA system well organized by SRIKANTH (Lackluster MURALI VIJAY)that is killing talent elsewhere in the country.

Dear Vaibhav...without experimenting we cant do anything. Practically speaking need to experiment while you have won the series. Take it possitively if India losted with all those listed guys in the team than we might have looked for different list. Celebrate the series victory dont look at the loosing games.

I agree with you 200%. It's the stupidity of Srikanth & Co.

Anybody can play against minnows. No use asking debudants to play against minnows; every Tom, Dick and Harry will make runs against minnows.
In India with so many hundreds of domestic match players, without experimenting how can you select the right players?
Abshisek Nayar, Manish Pandey everyone will get their chances.
And dont thrash new comers without giving them enough matches to perform. Why dont you see the first new ODI matches of Dravid; he performed pathetically and yet he managed to comeback and score 10,000 runs in ODI matches.

Buddy, it is not a queue system where in the seniors would given first chance! It is not merely how many runs u score in domestic matches, but also how u score those runs would show what a player is capable of. I remember a player called rayudu who was brilliant when he came on the scene. He scored around 190 odd in a youth world cup match in england and singlehandedly won the match. David Lloyd who was commentating was going gaga over his effort. But rayudu was hardly given a chance. Now he is nowhere to be seen. We don't want manish pandey to go that way and waste a talent. This guys needs to be given a chance and let us see whether he is upto it.

But you are right, Sreeshanth and Ishant have to be given the royal boot.
Re: NEHRA!!!
by Avijeet Singh on Feb 28, 2010 07:27 PM
if dhoni doesn't support pathetic players like nehra, probably he will never ever be in team. even mithun and tyagi bowl better than this nehra guy.
Re: NEHRA!!!
by vaibhav kumar on Feb 28, 2010 07:21 PM
Nehra himself nust be wondering about his luck. He never have any control on his bowling and least consistent and moreover not fit to complete a full tournament.
Dhoni have a neck of getting comfort level with certain players and as long as he is winning series, no one will question that.
But waht about LOOSING DEAD RUBBERS ON CONTINUOUS BASIS FOR LAST 2 YEARS NOW (WE LOST LAST MATCH OF A SERIES CONTINUOUSLY FOR 6 GAMES NOW). Its not a joke but suggest, lack of seriuousness from part of DHONI.
Re: Re: NEHRA!!!
by Reality Check on Feb 28, 2010 07:57 PM
very true...he should be sacked as a captain and instead make sehwag as the captain....he is a worthless keeper and should be made to field in the boundaries!!! and make dinesh karthik as the keeper....this dhoni needs a hard kick on his nuts for his bias and politics
The defeat in the last ODI to South Africa shows how badly dependent Indian team is on people like Gambhir, Sehwag, Tendulkar, Zaheer, Dhoni and a few others who automatically select themselves for any match. Every time, some of these players do not play and India goes down into defeat. This is sad and calls for longer term thinking.

boss, even australia had similar problems when their main players were not there. unless we keep on trying new combinations of people, how can we be ready for the day when all the seniors retire.
Re: Re: Food for thought for Team India....
by abhinav on Feb 28, 2010 07:14 PM
aussie domestic tournament is much different from our set up/..they have fast lively pitches which encourage the development of destrcutive bowlers..plus aussie is a genetically stronger race....so sa and aussie produce such great players..
a player like doug bollinger grew old waiting for his chance
their bench strenghth is terrific...but nothing in comp to mcgrath warne haydos gilly swaugh brothers...
Re: Food for thought for Team India....
by ratnadeep ray on Feb 28, 2010 07:51 PM
I feel here Zaheer was missed the most which Dhoni pointed out. India lost mainly due to bowlers and not much for the batsmen. Despite not having the strongest batsmen like Sachin, Sehwag, depleted India reached 275 and lost by 90 runs. In contrast, full fit SA lost to India by 153 runs in the 2nd ODI. So margin wise SA's victory was smaller than India's.

Re: DHONI BABUA TACTICS

all this hatred because he is a bihari, which he is not anyways. he is ranked no 1 by ICC , which do not consider sentiments of people from india, who hate biharis a lot. what do you think about ganguly, he was a dirty politician, sachin plays for his records only, no one is saint here.
Re: Re: DHONI BABUA TACTICS
by abhinav on Feb 28, 2010 07:01 PM
ganguly a dirty politician???? HIS POLITICS were that he stood for his players..players he thought were future prospects like ur HARBHAJAN, YUVRAJ ZAHEER...
like a gardener he brought up this team ....and along with kumble he made us no.1
mr singh aaapke 12 toh n ahi baj gaye...JHARKHAND WAS A PART OF BIHAR before ..so dont say he is not bihari...ok lets call him JHARIA..OR JHAAARHOO???
and given ur statemtn that sachin plays for records..shows ur level of intelligence mr singh its clear u have 12 o clock syndrome
Re: Re: Re: DHONI BABUA TACTICS

so much hatred for sikhs without whom you would have been licking the boots of some afghans. ganguly killed careers of so many promising players. he did good to some but destroyed careers of many promising players.

Re: DHONI BABUA TACTICS

AND WHAT R U MISSING NEHRA AND ZAHEER????? these bowlers too leak runs like yet another..its just zaheer is very experienced and nehra is a better line length bowler
but the truth is ..INDIAN BOWLING IS WORST AMONG ALL TEST PLAYING NATIONS..(after kumble i.e)...
BCCI WAKE UP SID...please buy michael kasporowics jason gillespie and other andre nel and nz bowlers....
Re: DHONI BABUA TACTICS
by Avijeet Singh on Feb 28, 2010 07:00 PM
by politics players from maharashtra, karnataka, tamil nadu, punjab are chosen always. india is such a nation, which has taken everything from us, they feel that they will become a superpower, i say they will disintegrate by 2020.
Re: Re: DHONI BABUA TACTICS
by abhinav on Feb 28, 2010 07:03 PM
talk on national disintegration can only be said by people like u who think a player like sachin is selfish........
do u even know this champion called sachin...
that is becuase bcci is based in bombay.....and whoever is regional selecotr will favour his region only...
Dhoni's both hands are paining it seems after lifting the cups and medals gained by his Team due to expertise of Sachin Tendulkar and other team members.. But what is Dhoni's contribution in particular ?? A BIG ZERO
