Yes, India may not have bench strength of a world class, but DHONI lacks a sincere effort to groom them. If you can not plan grooming your youngster, you will just create a situation like a dead rubber to get killed.
Grooming a youngster means giving them a chance on a trot for at least 3-4 matches. But when you would like to play RP SINGHs for continuously for 20-30 matches (when he was out for form); Ishant Sharma for 10-15 matches (when he is in out of form) and Sreesanth for 5-7 matches (remember he was dropped due to his poor form said by DHoni himself in Srilanka), and finally MURALI VIJAY (got 5-10 chances without any impact), HOW ON THE EARTH you can groom youngsters. RAINA was given almost 50 matches to prove his worth. Why not ABHISHEK Nayyer, why not Manish Pandey, why not MITHUN, why not TYAGI??
DHONI have a neck of making indian public look fool and they get woth his persona, but not all.
Not going in to emotions, I think its a very harsh fact that DHONI lacks a sincere effort to groom youngsters. If you see the youngsters, they surely havee the potential to be in team any day, provided you put your trust and given them 3-4 chances.

ishant and misra came back due to sehwaag, get your facts rightttttttttttttt,
misra was kKicked by jJealous dhongi when he won it for Sehwag...
dhongi should be kicked because all blame/rotation is done only for bowling/batting, not for captaincy/wicket-keeping.

I agree with ur points, but it would be better to send these fast bowlers on A tours to top playing nations such as australia and south africa where they can gain exposure and experience. At present the young lot has neither pace nor variity. The seniors are no better. Look at the way sreesanth bowles. He was the most expensive bowler on view. Also a youngster takes time to mature, but he must have something in him to be recognised. I believe one needs pace to start with. We need to impress this onm the youngsters if we want to be consistently successful.
This fellow Dhoni is making it second nature by losing dead rubbers. I am really getting pissed now and I am sure many of my fellow Indians feel the same. How many times have we seen India win the series comfortably and then lose the dead rubber without any tail. It happened against the Sri Lankans twice, against New Zealand, and now against the South Africans. This is a bad habit and I hate the way Dhoni grins like an idiot when asked why ? The end result is India lost badly (90 runs) and the guys who substituted for Sachin, Viru and Nehra all proved cheap fries. Murali Vijay to me doesn't look like an ODI player. The same can be said about the slogger Yusuf Pathan. Rohit Sharma is NOT an international class player. He could be brought back in this early 30s for another chance perhaps. Overall our bench strength is VERY poor. We neither have a world class bowling unit nor a formidable battling line up in the absence of Tendulkar, Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh. The future looks bright and bleak.

100% true.
I think we have to give credit to DHONI and team for winning matches but loosing dead rubbers; not putting up fight and loosing few matches (mostly one sided) raises concern about this team.
I feel that DHONI lacks respect to play dead rubbers and second, I feel that planning of playing with reserve simply is lacking by Dhoni and Kirsten. It seems that they do not want to get rid of their existing team despite OUT OF FORM players and not interested in planning to groom youngsters. I still see future of likes of RP SINGH and others to make a come back as DHONI do not want others to prosper really. DHONI lacks interest in grooming youngsters.

Go with the fact. Do not get emotionally favored. We lost 6 dead rubbers in last 2 years. Records speak for itself.
Alos we lost to II string Aussies 2-4 and to III string Srilanka very recently. Do not go Ga-GA after winning with SA. SA are known CHOKERS.
Abhimanyu Mithun may be the man.He has proved as an excellent bowler in the Ranji trophy. And his batting is good.If he is groomed properly he can be a fast bowling allrounder which India is missing badly.

He has to give a tough fight with DHONI's FAVORITES, RP SINGH, ISHANT and PRAVEEN KUMAR.
Dhoni is not known for his leadership unbiased. He is known to favor his people. There is very less scope for sonmeone to come in this team very easily despite great domestic performance.
What about ABHISHEK NAYYER, hardly got any chance. Can you compare him with RIDICULOUSLY CHOSEn MURALI Vijay for ODIs.

Vijay was chosen for only one ODI. Thats because the rest of the untried youngsters are long term prospects. So vijay is the fall guy. Its so plain to see
Dhoni is showing his attitude all along. He himself plays sometimes in a while but blames always on others. Its time for selectors to think do we really need such manipulative player in the team when he his demoralizing likes of SACHIN< Dravid, Sehwag, Gambhir, etc.
when sachin scored that double despite best effort of dhobi to keep him away from strike... thats the main reason none from bcci or dhobi have made any comments about sachin's 200... dhobi's pet jadeja did same thing against aussie by slogging and keeping sachin away from strike and minute sachin got out, jadeja gave up and got out himself coz thats how bookies and his masters dhobi and bcci wanted... such a historic moment and bcci idiots shah and company are out of media... still shocked by those millions lost from bookies...
Re: Re: Was Dhoni trying to keep SACHIN AWAY FROM 200?
taking 1 by dhongi was not difficult, it was better to give tendulkar a strike and then let him retire than make him fall waiting in case he had cramps.
Both Rohit and Kohli are good players. Just keep you nepotism with you. All bowlers and batsmen have been rotated.
Not captain and wicket-keeper who are unfairty not rotated and that being dhongi, dhongi takes credit for efforts of 10 players when winning.

it is unfair that captain and wicket-keeper are not rotated and person being dhongi, dhongi takes credit for efforts of 10 players when winning.
sachin n sewang...the reason we lost the match ..because they aint play...we have great talented batsmen in papers. and when it comes on ground performance, 7 outa 10 times they fail and the team batting crumbe like fort of cards..all we can hope is , these two play more years for the team.
