The maharashtra leadership, practically, seems to have no better issues in their minds (like garibi hatao, clear slums, improve transports, blah, blah,blah about another 100 issues) than recommending SRT for BR. What's wrong with these jerks, is cricket going to feed our millions ? Somehow there appears to be a tendency to overdo inane things.

Cricket is feeding Tendulkar and not only Maharashtra Government even the poor of the country are happy! Jai Ho. Not only Bharat Ratna, he can be given Paramveer Chakra for standing up to the bouncers from bowlers of 9 nations (sorry, only 9 nations play the game of which Bangladesh is unfit for even our Ranji, West India is in terminal decline and we do not play Pakistan, effectively leaving 5 opponents!). also Prthiba patil can recommend this for sachin if no for R K Laxman who deserves this honour more than anybody
This only for chip attention by congress government – if Sachine then why not Lata Mangeskar ?? Why not Kapil ? why not Dhyanchnad in Hockey ?? Why not Anand in chess , Sachin is very very gold player no doubt but not for Bharat Ratna ??
