India's Chances
by RajeevRaghuRamanArunachalam on Feb 18, 2010 08:07 AM

Well on a final day,I would back India to win this game from here. The spinners are looking potent to get wickets on the final day.The rain may have created some dampness on the wicket, making the spinners feel a little ginger, but if Seamers do put a good effort, they can take advantage of the early morning (maybe first 45 minutes) and make it easy for the spinners later, with the sun beating down on the wicket.

Hopefully the weather God is with us for the whole day.

time wasted by authorities in mopping up water
by sonny gong on Feb 18, 2010 07:14 AM

was there delay by teh cleaning crew of CAB?

it seems gary K was unhappy with teh delays.

firstly the game could have started early as there was no rain but water that could have been cleaned off ahead of time. not sure if there was any incompetency on the part of the organizers.

EDEN one of the greatest of all stadiums in the world is in shambles. I was so horrified at seeing the condition of this great stadium. where is all teh money going that comes out of these games. It has really to be seen to be believed at the state of EDEN today. yes they are doing part of the stadium up for the world cup but no facelift is happening. may be there should be a charity show for the revival of EDEN with a facelift

2nd TEST
by Gopal Krishnan on Feb 18, 2010 06:11 AM  | Hide replies

South Africans have a weakness against wrist spinners (Leg Breaks). Tendulkar must be persuaded to bowl atleast few overs on Day V. He has taken the wicket of world top class players in the past. Some thought like this is to be injected in Dhoni's mind. Let him recall the way Azhar and Saurav used Tendulkar when India were in helpless situations.

All eyes would be on Amla but I think Ashwell Prince would hold the key. He is currently out of form but one man who could really stand tall in difficult situation.

That is for sure. As the weather forcast is; South Africans would have to bat a long day to save it for them.

amit misra like a typical babua purabia changed sides after sehwa
by E darwin on Feb 18, 2010 12:47 AM  | Hide replies

Amit misra like a typical babua purabia snake changed sides after sehwag got him into to the India XI side in Bangladesh.

As always, Sehwag and zaheer the selfless classy players played to their best performance without asking for captaincy.
Tendulkar and Dravid have shown their refined class as well.

Rohit showed his class, his selflessness and culture to backout and let Laxman join the fray. He could have scored enough in first test and got a chance to stay for 2nd test at the expense of Laxman. But Rohit opted out.

If rohit controls his flamboynace, he joins the league of Dravid due to his nautural play.

Dhogi can copy as much he likes, but his aritificial plays cracks when pitches or bowlers are tough on him.

Captaincy for Sehwag and Zaheer is over-due but the nexxus of dhogi and srikant is in the way. Srikant wants to take maximum
advantage of his position to wheel and deal.

I hope that 100% selfless nature returns to both yuvi, ishant and harbhajan so they regain their class.

Amit misra as his purabia slimy nature dictates joined the Selfish and deal making camp of Dhoogi and is NOW IN 1 DAYERS as
well when Habi opted out, Isant and Ojha are out as well...

Man you are considering Indian Cricket as a typical government office. Things are not as complicated and bad as you are portraying them. Dhogi Purabiya whats that?

I want healthy Cricket whatever is the consequence of the test match. If Proteas bat really well and save the day it would be for their morale victory and if Indians bowl consistent line and turn the match outcome against Protes, they would retain number 1 spot. Both ways its victory of Cricket, a healthy Cricket. Why do you always try to prove Cricket as sick with your terms like purabiya and Dhogi?

by vinay on Feb 17, 2010 11:16 PM  | Hide replies

history shows that sa players r known to succumb to bookies. so bcci is going to pressurise sa to lose the match.
so dont worry. even if play is possible for 2 hrs., sa is going to lose.
so enjoy.
