Hi folks, I don't think it is wise to blame Warne. I agree, oz is not able to protect Indian students there. But the problem here is a lot different. If Warne is afraid of Shivsena (SS), the Indian government might be able to assure him that players are safe and that they don’t have to be afraid of SS. GoI can deal with SS. Again, some of you might not agree with this. I don’t think SS hates Ausies or something like that, SS is upset just because we Indians are being attacked there. This could be a separate topic of discussion because SS is against northies in Mumbai :)and so one might question SS’s double standards.
But when we talk about threat from AQ or LeT etc, we need to think seriously. How many of you really think that with Congress in power at the centre, we are safe? Are we really safe? The shameless HM, says Pune attack was not an intel failure! How does one define intel failure then? I totally understand the anger of some of the readers here. As any proud Indian would feel Warne’s statement as pure insult. But are not Paki’ terrorists insulting us and our security agencies every time they launch an attack? Instead of blaming him, we ought to introspect. It is our government which is to blame and it has failed us time and again. I don't understand why we voted Congress into power. I don’t know if NDA would have been better. But today’s interview of Maroof Raza on rediff atleast indicates that way.

all because deccan chargers will not be playing in protest against the change of ipl venues from ap to mumbai and nagpur.
i do not understand why people are blaming warne. there is an al-qaeda threat to the ipl recently. combine this fact with the recent blasts in pune and it is natural for people to get concerned.

ideally speaking, governments should not yield to threats from terrorists. but ipl is not run by government. also, the example that you gave is extreme. it is not that ipl should be moved to some other country, but it is just that warne is perfectly justified in his concerns for his players. there is no reason for people to blame him for expressing his concerns.

I agree his concern!! But I would have hailed him had he expressed the solidarity with the Indian Govt. Mr. Chidambaram today categorically made it clear that terrorists cannot dictate terms and IPL, coomonwealth will go on. Answer this,in that case, would you like Commonwealth Games to be moved out of India!
INDIA is competent in dealing wid all the situations and gives topmost priority to der guests unless ur country who still cannot assure of ne other attacks on INDIANS in ur so-called safe country... yeah n blaming is d easiest thing tht a person can do... y dont ppl do ur bit of contribution...blamin wont help buddy... n cum on ppl IPL is meant for the indian fans...n wer security reasons r concerned i think r country has d best security...n has proved it over n over again to the world n if tht wasnt d case SA players wldnt hav been playin der matches here in INDIA... even aussies r aware of it... If Warne is really concerned den y doesnt he QUIT..bt no he wont n never will...
People the actual reason why Warne does not want to play in India is due to the fear of what will happen to him and fellow Australians players due to racist violence against Indian in Australia. If it was terror threat, then why is SA still in our country and playing matches. Don't SA love there players?
