Bajji's performance was below par in fact i should say it has been way below par in the recent past i agree there was not to much in the wicket, that being said the line he was bowling was mostly on the leg side and was easy pickings for a batsman of kalis's class.
Team Selection is faulty. True, we have no control over injuries. Laxman could not recover in time. It was unfortunate that Rohit Sharma also developed sprain in the eleventh hour. That does not justify the decision of Selectors to include Wridhiman Saha as a specualist batsman whose ist class average is only 35 runs. Definitely he is not going to score acentury against South Africa and win the match for you. It is a blunder. We sould have included one more bowler preferably ojha since S.Africa has always proved that they are vulnerable to good spin bowling.

I agree mithun should have made debut instead of saha
either way INDIA were a bowler short and mithun could have been helpful
