I wish Laxman was allowed to play at # 3 throughout !I am sure India would have won many more matches. Dravid whenever he bats he rollbacks all the work done by Sehwag which eventully costs matches.

The 2nd named one G R Viswnath was a marvellous batsman in his prime.
Stylish and silk smooth, he used to tame the bowlers with his silky strokes, a master of square cut, late cut, drives and pull, he was a super player of fast bowling, the best in his time. Though stats wise he was nowhere near Gavaskar, he was far better than Sunil and was rated by many quicks of his time as the best Indian batsman they had bowled to
No all time great Indian team can be picked without this genial genius.
The All time Winner for India are three main heroes
VVS Laxman. Kapil Dev Mohammad Azaruddin.
Actually the other 2 match winners were captained India. But Bad luck for laxman. He is a best captain also. He has proved in domestic matches.
Kapil Dev is the best allrounder in world. No body can beat kapil's record of scoring more than 5000 test runs and more than 400 test wickets.
Did any body has taken this record. Simply it is impossible. No body is near to him.
He has won matches for India individually on so many occassions.Most of the innings has made from impossible to success.
The same for Laxman. Laxman never plays for records. He plays for Indian team victory and create records. But Sachin Tendulkar he simply plays for records and throwing his wickets away at crucial stages.
After scoring 50th Test ton he was mentioning the best innings was 136 against Pakistan In Chennai. But he got out when team needs him. If he would not got out India would have won that match.
So all the efforts gone for India. This is Sachin Tendulkar. Playing only for records. This show how selfish he is.
But Laxman hats of to him for his gentleman show.He has played under Dravid, Ganguly, Azharudding, Kumble & now Dhoni. Every body should thank him for their successful victories.
So u guys stop appreciating Tendulkar, and start enjoy with Laxman and wish him a very very special Happy New Year.

how come u include azhar in ur heroes list. That traitor and a match fixer does not deserve to be an Indian.Secondly,u hv written tht sachin has lost his wkt at crucial moments. pls note tht in all those matches sachin has nt got support frm other end and they were 1 man show. that includes that inning of 136. pls also note tht in all those matches sachin has scored 50 plus , India has won 77 % of them. PLS THINK BEFORE U WRITE. AND PLS DONT EVER MENTION ABT THT BLOODY AZHAR.

Don't get excited my dear. I have taken Azhar's name because he has done for India so many times which cannot be written in 2 lines. Match winning is the personal scandal. It is his bad luck. But you have to agree that Azhar is a match winner. Instead of shouting see the records.
Sachin is a great player no doubt about that. But he has thrown his wicket at tough situations.
But on the other hand see the records of Laxman. Almost we lost the match against Australia in the last series in India. But he alone took the match away from Australia,that too with the injured leg.
My dear, it is difficult to score 70 plus with tail enders that too he comes at No.6 the last recognised batsman.
Of course Sachin is a great player. He is not a match winner. See the Indian teams record instead of shouting, Only reading sachin records will not prove your argument. So enjoy the heroes effort with Happy new year blessings.

Bravo. Many people like to say that Sachin does not do well in an emergency. They are probably overlooking the fact that the emergency was created in the first place because Sachin got out.

SACHIN SCORED CENTURY IN WINNING TEST. WHAT ABOUT IN LOSING TEST? ONLY SCORING CENTURY IS NOT ENOUGH. SCORING CENTURY AT DIFFICULT SITUATION IS IMPORTANT AND ALSO REMAINING IN THE CREASE TILL THE END. THAT IS VVSL. NOT SRT.

it is because, sachin bats at the top of the batting order when one or two wickets are down...and when he bats he pushes the opponent completely out of the match...so that Indian victory seemed an easy one...however nobody ever thought had sachin not played such gud innings in the matches india won...who knows india wud have lost many more matches...!!!

Jacqess Kallis has 10 thousand runs & close to 350 wickets. Yes Laxman was brillant but its a team game so everone has to chip in & not alone Tendulkar. Even in that game against pakistan

Mohammad Azaruddin gr8 match fixer and dirty mind. Remember him bribing cronje in his 99th test to score 100 to retain place in side.
it is hightime the board and the govt. recognise the service done by laxman to indian cricket and award him the padmasri many undeserved people got it but no one proposes laxman's name for this award it is the right time let's honour him don't wait for his retirement.

Good to see Harbhajan takes wickets, he did well first with the bat in India and now with the ball in South Africa. Good thing about him is, he always wanted to win. He brings the agressive and buzz. Well done India and ofcoz Zaheer and Laxman, i like watching test cricket.
