Why should World laugh at us? Losing and winning are part of the game. You must see Ashes Series in progress where fortunes are changed fast. We should enjoy cricket ultimately

THE WORLD LAUGHS BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE CONCERNED WITH INDIVIDUAL RECORDS AND NOT TEAMS VICTORY. THIS WILL HAPPEN ONLY IN INDIA.

saturation tv, paper coverage of record, when India was walloped by over an inn.
and even there he was making the tailenders bat so he can remain not out.

All these records add to India. and People say India has a great player who has max runs, max centuries, double century in ODI etc. Like the number of Indian Wins, these records stay and make the country proud. People like you, who cant appreciate performances are forgotten very quickly. If at all you are popular it will be when you criticize the greats like Sachin.

yes, keep records. nevermind India loses. same as what this post is abt.

I pity your mentality because you on one sire are talking about records and statistics and advise others not to talk about records. You make a detailed study on how many times we didnt win when Sachin played. Dont you think that is not tracking records? Only to defame some one? Before talking all this, ask yourself whether you are true to yourself in making personal vendetta rather than appreciating.

Let Tendulkar show his worth when it matters. Let him show his worth in World Cup. Does it make any use if he is not showing his worth when it matters the most?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!
by asha on Dec 27, 2010 05:42 PM
Which day are you referring to? Tendulkar is always out for zero's and two's while facing Mcgrath in world cups held outside India
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!
by Mr Infinity on Dec 27, 2010 05:37 PM
ummm... correction please. Sachin has scored maximum runs for India in World cup. The day he didn't India was out of World Cup. You can check statistics for that.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!
by asha on Dec 27, 2010 05:54 PM
Mr Infinity, That is the whole point of conversation. He played for more than 20 years and scored many runs. But when it matters he is a failure. That is in quality pitches he is a utter failure while facing quality bowlers. Look at players like Steve Waugh and Jacques Kallis. They deliver when playing in quality pitches and when it matters the most. Sachin won't be playing for more than 8 years if he is playing for a team like Australia.

he has in 92, 96, 99 and 03 world cups it was other matter that our bowlers let us down in crunch matches in this world cups
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!
by Mr Infinity on Dec 27, 2010 05:49 PM
World cup is not AUS vs IND I guess. He has scored total of 2036 runs with average of 57.93 in WC! with 4 centuries and 13 Half centuries!
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!
by Mr Infinity on Dec 27, 2010 06:30 PM
Check all the statistic provided whenever you feel like saying quality wicket or against good teams or failed to get us win matches or he scores we lose or something like that. I think you are not getting all that stuff that's why you are making same points again. counter all info provided and then you can put the point forward.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!
by explorer on Dec 27, 2010 05:28 PM
This is another popular argument. Brain Lara was never part of World Cup. Should we say he is not great? And sunil valson was part 1983 world cup team. So he is the greatest of all? You criticize individual records and ask an individual to win the cup? All other players are impotents?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!
by Mr Infinity on Dec 27, 2010 06:18 PM
Compare the teams in which Kallis plays and in which Sachin plays you will get your answers. Kallis is one of my favorites by the way. But if you see he has been given chance to bowl consistently and he came up as awesome all rounder.
On the other hand India wanted Sachin to be a batsman only. Though he can do a brilliant bowler as well, he did saved India a few matches with his bowling (I know you won't remember that too)!
One more illusion that when he perform we lose! or he never make us win! OK check this out...
In ODIs When India won... his avg was 58.03 to score 11842 runs with 33 centuries. When India lost... his avg was 33.04 with 7930 runs and 12 centuries!
In Tests... When India won... his average was 69.55 to score 5454 runs and 20 centuries. When India Lost... his average was 38.46 to score 3431 runs with 11 centuries!
I hope that means the knocks which can make us win matches?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!
by Mr Infinity on Dec 27, 2010 05:44 PM
Another correction for your argument...
Test Centuries at home : 22 Test Centuries away : 28
ODI centuries at home : 18 ODI centuries away : 28
And people call him great because he is playing for that many years madam, that is called Longevity. Half of the sportsperson go down with injuries and operations within 10-15 years!
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!
by asha on Dec 27, 2010 05:34 PM
How can Tendulkar be the greatest or great when he is playing for more than 20 years and scored most of the runs in the flat subcontinent pitches. He is inferior when compared to a player like Jacques Kallis who is a complete team player and a match winner.
Re: Re: Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!
by sanjay mishra on Dec 27, 2010 06:25 PM
Jacques Kallis had to never face bowlers like Allan Donald,Steyn , morkel , Pollock as they were playing with him . Sachin played with a team with comparatively inferior quicks if compared to Australia , South Africa , Pakistan etc. So he has faced more tough bowlers than any other so called greats of this era or past era. Dont forget that. Also India has lot in test matches 11 times when tendulkar has scored centuries. Tell me whether India would still have drawn or won matches has he not scored those 39 centuries? Obviously yes we would have lost. So how come these 39 centuries are match wining or match saving ones. Hence get ur stats correct guys.
Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!

World laughs at India, on how a great player like Tendulkar is born along with many jealous people who work very hard to find reasons from nowhere and criticize him. All others are looking at him with Awe but only we fail to appreciate that. For doing this, people go to the extent of appreciating anyone else, but never this great player.
Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!
by suhail khalid on Dec 27, 2010 06:10 PM
There's no need for us to search reasons to criticize Sachin. You just read the score board of the matches he has played in and you will realise how right we are in criticizing this person.14000 runs in 175 matches is really a shame.Any other cricketer(for example, Vinod Kambli)would have scored atleast 25,000 runs if he would have been allowed to play continuously for 21 years in 175 matches.
Re: Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!
by Mr Infinity on Dec 27, 2010 06:26 PM
May be you are forgetting that Vinod was re-introduced to team 3 times after Kolkata incident! Failed every time and then they decided to take him out.
Re: Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!
by sanjay mishra on Dec 27, 2010 06:31 PM
oye khalid , did any one stop kambli from playing for India for 21 years or did Sachin paid bribe to be in India team for 21 years. Fact is kambli was not good enough. No body is stopping any one to play for 21 years. Its just that Sachin has been consistent cricket & is fit. Give me another name in International cricket who has scored 7 centuries in test matches in a year at the age of 37? There is no one. Also whole of ur fav pakistan team would not have scored 7 centuries in last 2 years. i can understand ur jealous but shout in pakistan abt ur players who are more interested in making money.

hi, Ind lost in the end badly. and you were handing out sweets and celebrating?
Come on. Also NO one is looking at Tendulkar with awe outside his vast Indian blind fan following.
Indeed they laugh at this mass adulation. Ind lost and the news was only abt the 'record'. A typical tendulkar situation.

So instead of looking at ur neighbours think abt ur team or r u still worried when a bobm will go off under ur chair.

There is a reason to be unhappy when we lost to another strong team, but there is another reason why we can be happy when a player top scored in both innings against No.2 team and tried his best to save the match and also scored his 50th Century. If other batsmen also did a bit more we could have saved the match. And this achievement of Sachin is going to stay for more than the win of SA. So why not celebration for that good part? If you speak to any achieved cricketer like Viv, Wasim Akram and even Grame Smith they all admire Sachin and India.
Why are we linking the performances with result and target one person while we ourselves hate personal records? Why dont you criticize the team which was lost? Why criticize sachin who atleast did his part well?
Re: Re: Re: Re: who cares if Ind loses, we have SRT record!

When you read the scoreboard, you will know that Sachin has just scored 13 in the first innings of this match. He scored 31 out of 36 balls and 111out of 249 balls when India needed to score fast.

He needed to score at least 400 to make India that match! wow, that's a kind of practical expectation.
I agree with those 'He is no God' kind of things... yes he is not, he is just a brilliant batsman. But if someone is trying to downsize his talent then we are as crazy as those who call him God. He is brilliant accept that fact, it's not gonna hurt much. Plus you will be able to see the actual reasons why we lost the match, Instead of crying foul of a man who made a century. The batsmen who failed in every innings in this series. The bowlers who lost a match for us, and many more.

If SA talked so much that Indian attack is not good blah...blah then why did Smith chose bowling. He could have shown their class by batting first. They were afraid of Zaheer. No sportsman spirit.
Re: Re: SA challenge
by sunil rathore on Dec 27, 2010 04:11 PM
he was not afraid from indian bowler. actually he afraid from indian batsman, because he knows that he can get out indian batsman cheaply on first day but if india batted second then they cant get out india so cheaply.

Hey bufff, the point is whether they wuld have batted better than india or no. See now also they are rattling at 4 wkts down batting second. So you never know. btw... in gully cricket the wkt does not change whether batting second or first coz it will be played on tar road or concrete :)
Re: Re: SA challenge
by seejo paul on Dec 27, 2010 04:16 PM
What if Zaheer does not bowl with the same pace as that of Steyn or Morkel? Mcgrath's bowling speed is less compared to Morkel. So will u say Morkel is the better bowler than Mcgrath. It is not abt speed my dear frnd. Its abt striking the correct line and length and swing. The only prob with Indian bowling now is their lack of experience in bowling in such grassy wickets. These same bowlers of ours can bowl better than same Steyn and co. in Indian pitches.
Re: Re: SA challenge
by pramod a on Dec 27, 2010 04:27 PM
yes you are right... Zaheer is not Steyn Ishanth is not Morkel Sreesanth is not express! Bhajji is not Warne or Murali or Kumble!
