Yeah we have seen the types of Mohinder Amarnath without a helmet.

Give me a Srikkanth and Gavaskar over a Yashpal Sharma and Surinder Amarnath especially playing pace bowling any day.

Idiot Bholu. If your Dhoni, Sehwag, Gambhir, Raina, Bhajji were so good then why didn't they help India win the first test ????????

good against Aus why NOT against SA
by RKN on Dec 26, 2010 08:45 PM  | Hide replies

Our batsmen lack the technique to play in bouncy tracks against quality pace bowling, period. We see centuries here and there, but over all team always struggle to score. I just wonder how come we play better against Australia but never against SA. Dravid has patience to make bowlers weary, but not scoring runs(strike rate) is his weakness. I think in SA you need to attack if you are quality batsman, it is impossible just to stay there without scoring runs,I think thats why RD might not have better average there.

Viru we all know how he plays
Murali clearly struggled.
RD is not ideal 1st down especially in SA.
SRT started attacking and he suddenly made tsotso hero(out becaz of the careless shot)
Laxman is ok this match, but he clearly had problems with quality pace.
Pujara I didnt see so no comment, but I guess better than Raina.

with all the bowling attack that we have I can see the result.

The sorry state is that India cannot even play the scripted fast bowling at the nets when they play abroad. I mean scripted, in the sense that, even if you tell the Indian batsman what kind of delivery you are going to bowl, you could still intimidate them. The GOD_OF_CRICKET is no exception to this as well.

FAMED Batting Line UP
by MeetFireWithFire on Dec 26, 2010 08:43 PM  | Hide replies

Why is that the FAMED batting line up turns out into FUMES when it comes in playing in the fast tracks??

Why is that the FAMED batting line up which claims it has GOD on their side gets intimidated when playing abroad??

Techincally South Africa have only one quality world class fast bowler in Dale Styen. Why is that the so called FAMED batting line up always launches the careers for many fast bowlers round the globe??

Tendulkar must be injured and out for next 2 years. This is the only way to get rid of this oldie playing forever.Tendulkar,Dravid and Laxman must retire .

He is in the nervous 90s. He has 97 international hundereds. Until he gets pass 100, good fortunes would not turn up for Indian Cricket.

LOSING CONFIDENCE FOR WORLDCUP!
by Gulab on Dec 26, 2010 08:41 PM  | Hide replies

This series was to give the Indians all the confidence and luck to seal the worldcup, but it's turning out the otherway...can we abandon the remaining matches at least?

BCCI has set a Contingency Plan for this debacle...

Lose against INDIA or face the chin music (just like Team India in South Africa) would be the mantra for BCCI against other teams playing with India during the coming world cup.

Funny.
by Rajesh Ratan on Dec 26, 2010 08:40 PM

When Indian batsman gets out they throw away their wickets .When opposition batsman is out it is good bowling. This is the news for last 40 years about Indian cricket. The fact is if quality of opposition bowling is good Indian batsman always get out. That's it.If bowlers like STeyn was not playing Indians historically make hay. This is history.

sachin and team india

So if India don't win the world cup next year which was originally supposed to be in AUS/NZ who would be greater Sachin or Ponting.
My pick is Ponting because he has 3 world cups plus 1996 semi-final, better fielder, better captain and steps up in the finals when has to.
Yeh Sachin has bowled often here and there but he hasnt bowled throughout his career while ponting has been a top fielder throughout his career.

Make sense fellow indians.

How can u guys so critical to Sachin & co. Look at Aussies who r dancing against English bowling and that against the like of James Anderson and Tremlett. They are bowled on 98 ! They brought up on these fiery tracks. How can you expect Indian batters to cope up with the likes of Steyn and co. on firy track and overcast conditions? Give some points to batsman also. U can’t score 400 on this track leave alone 500. A good fighting 50 on this track is as good as 200 on placid Motera (Ahemadabad) track !
I have seen post that Sachin, Dravid and Laxman are the culprit but I want to say that let SA bat on this track and then judge. Look at their bowing and look at the pitch. Even the great Bradmen would struggle to score on this track!
