The BCCI have got it all wrong my fellow Indians. Common sense would advocate - DO NOT go on a high profile foreign tour just 2 months before cricket's biggest tournament. Yet once again the BCCI have taken a poor decision to send team India to SA of all places where they have a poor record. The last thing Indian fans need is a demoralized Indian team. Instead of a couple of meaningless series against Australia and NZ, the Indian team should have gone off to SA. Even the South Africans were involved in a meaningless and useless series against a weak Pakistani team.
I hope India can thrash SA at Durban and level the series. Otherwise the axe will be readied for a few heads.
Amla is the only player this year to have scored more than 1000 runs in calender year 2010 in both forms of cricket - Tests and ODIs. In fact he is the only one to score 1000 runs in ODIs this year. REMEMBER : HE HAS DONE IT DESPITE PLAYING LESS MATCHES THAN OTHERS.

I second your thoughts dude. I was quite surprised at Sachin's tactics on the 5th day. He let Sreeshanth take many balls from SA bowlers. I don't understand why !! perhaps Gary Kirsten and Dhoni had already given up. Even the commentators including Pollock were commentating about the weird tactics by team India.
Even though I am not a fan of Dhoni I found his innings much better than Sachin's century making inning. Dhoni took the attack to SA bowlers and atleast gave something on which we can build on in 2nd test. The way Sachin was playing before Dhoni came on was not very positive.

Sachin always plays for money. You may observe that he purposefully scores slowly when India requires to score quickly.
wll dnt u knw guys he is of indian origin so an indian knws well abt the weakness of our team tht is indian team cme on guys shw SA tht we are still the boss
As days goes by Sachin is becoming a curse of Indian cricket. It is more and more clear he started playing for himself. I remember in One Test Sachin was playing 196, India declared he was very much dissapointed.. He came to Media and cried.. But I didnt see any disappointment when India lost the test match.. even though he keep saying I am more Happy when India wins..
I hope he retires..and give chance to some youngster.
