SACHIN / V V S
by raj patil on Dec 22, 2010 04:24 PM  | Hide replies

I am a great fan of sachin AS ALL OF YOU. I am really proud of all his records. i admired him from the day he is piaying for India.
But that day, on the last day of the 1st test match why did he do that ?. instead of taking strike he was seen giving strike to the tailenders. He could have avoided atlest the innings loss. I know it was difficult to avoid loss for him but he should have atlest tried for it. then why v.v.s. laxman is not better. everyone knows how he played using the tailenders and once saved the match and once we win. IS IT TRUE WHAT SA CAPTAIN SAID ABOUT SACHIN AND IT MAKES ONE BELIVE HIM.

Did u forget what else Smith said?
Anyways
This is why...

Whats the only possible way India could have saved the match? By scoring atleast 150 runs on fifth day and hoping for rain.
That is possible only with something like laxman-ishant partnership. 50 from sreesanth or unadkat and 100-120 more from sachin. He gave them strike, if they score a 50 India have a chance if not no chance. As simple as that. Its humanly not possible to score 150 himself, and manufacturing a single on every 5,6th ball.

Using the same tactics you have just blasted in your message, we won the Mohali test against Australia...
Do you want to officially ask ICC to reverse the decision and award the match to Australia? ;-)

Pankaj Dharmani and Vinod Rahore and Amol Mazumdar should be included in India's test team.

They will be rock solid... They have tonnes of runs against their name in Ranji..

Yes, India is on top of world courtesy Sachin the greatest. We will rise higher & higher.

No doubt Pakistan will occupy bottom of the dustbin position every year, anyway it's a country of sub-human terrorists & thieves only. No one in he world thinks it as habitable for human beings.

Survey: SRT better than DB
by Rick Shaw on Dec 22, 2010 01:43 PM  | Hide replies

In an online poll conducted by the 'Sydney Morning Herald' asking readers to vote for 'The greatest batsman ever: Bradman or Tendulkar?', Tendulkar secured 67 per cent of the votes as against Bradman's 33 per cent. 20768 cricket fans voted.

Tendulkar seemed to have got votes from those who took into account that he played in three formats of the game and against 10 countries while Bradman played in only Test matches and primarily in Australia and England only.

"Tendulkar is better than Bradman. Tendulkar has played three forms of the game to Bradman's one. Tendulkar has played around in many different pitches, against a variety of bowlers, and is the highest run getter in Tests and one-dayers. Undisputedly, the BEST EVER," one comment said.

Dravid

Sachgin is able to get all these records becos he has started playing at an age of 16...take the case of Dravid he started at around 20-21 but he has already crossed 12000...just think if he had been played for 5 more years ...he would have easily emulated sachin atleast in number of runs....

You forgot to mention two more things.... IF Dhoni started playing at the age of 6, he could have easily surpassed thrice Sachin's records 5 years back itself...

And IF I had 60 billion dollars, I would have been richer than Bill Gates... ;-)

for your information, DRAVID didn't start at 20-21.. he started at the age of 23 and a half years when he first played test match in JUNE 1996 against ENGLAND(the same match where GANGULY made his test debut)!! so had he make debut at a mere age of 16 like sachin, he would have got 7 more years!!!!!! & may be then atleast 5000 more runs could have made, that means around 17000 test runs , but having said that, 17000 is an abstruct figure in runs in test & playing since 16 for 21 yrs with that consistancy is easier said to be done in paper.. so in that respect both SACHIN & DRAVID have been tremendous for INDIA as sachin scored over 14500 runs in test which is astonishing, already played 175 tests & over 21 yrs into his 22nd year of test career!! unbelievable with that consistancy of overall career avg 57 in test with 50 test 100s & for DRAVID's case, in just 14 and a half years 12000 runs in about 150 tests played in this just 14 and a half years & missed only 4 tests out of 152 possible in this span (1996-2010/11).. will make it 150 out of 154 after this series.. oops.. record of both of these two thus astonishing in this regards.. for the respective facts..salute to both of the legends of INDIA.wish sachin to make 16000 runs(april 2012) if possible, with 55 100s @57-58 avg & some says may play 200th test(june 2012) then to surely make more than 16500 runs & wish dravid to make

1) no one prevented him from playing for india since 15. infact he is a bit elder to sachin.. the fact that sachin was good enough to represent india at an age of 16 shows his class.
2)This is what people will think who did not watch any matches during the period between 89 to 96 think.. sachin hardly played any matches as india did not play that many matches before.. in 92 india played 2 matches in 95 he played 3 matches.. in all he played only 30 odd match before dravid came to scene..
3) Despite starting his career much late dravid today is the batsman who has faced the maximum number of balls. much ahead of sachin and ponting.. and no one prevented him from scoring more runs.
4) Runs per innings is how a batsman can be termed good or bad.. sachin's runs per innings is much higher than dravid's

So instead of putting in all energies to find fault.. think something postive

I totally agree with u ajith in point no 1 ,2,3,4

starting from 15-16 only 1 or 2 players can do out of lakhs of test cricket ever played since 1877.. hasan raja, mustaq mohammad, shahid afridi guys like these started around 15 to 16/17 (hasan may be 14!!) but then to keep performing like this for over 21 yrs like sachin no one can think of, & thus no one had make career like this till date like sachin, starting from 16 & performed like this over 21 yrs & looking good for another year to year and a half more.. that means over 22 years.. & as rightly said , had INDIA played around 7 to 8 tests each in those years 1992 1995, atleast 10 tests more sachin could have played more will make it 185 tests & 15200-15300 runs may be by now with 52 100s may be by noe..in those 5-6 years 1989/90-1995, INDIA played hardly 30 tests instead of 40-42..
Dravid started 6 and a half years later than sachin & played 1500 more balls in tests (28289 balls compare to 26708) but 2513 runs less!!!!!(12000 & 14513), avg 53 compare to almost 57.. even 100s wise may be in those 6 years he could make max 11-12 100s more i.e around 42 100s as he made around 2 100s/year in test career(31 in 14 and a half years).. runs per innings 47(12000 in 255) compare to 50.75(14513 in 286) sachin.. almost 4 more..

so in nutshell SACHIN is way ahead of DRAVID.. but at the same time DRAVID had saved or helped to win INDIA lots of m
