Sachin should play for only India to stay in cricket for the next five years.

It is better he plays IPL and gets injured so he can never play for us again.

Quite stupid decision
by vathula on Dec 22, 2010 01:38 PM  | Hide replies

IPL, you like it or not has been a resounding success. Some players resurrected the career very successfully thanks to IPL: Examples: Raina, Shane Watson, Nehra, Yusuf Pathan. Some players were known to the outside world thanks to IPL: Shaun Marsh, Jadeja, Ashwin, Saurab Tewary. Some players used IPL to prove that they can play a fast game: Mahela, Murli Vijay. Actually the list is very long in each category. Lastly, the IPL success players are also successful outside Examples: Mike Hussey, Nehra, Ashwin etc. I hardly know any one who failed in IPL but was very successful outside!
IPL is here to stay- Like it or not.

@Vathula. Absolute rubbish. IPL is fit for people who don't understand test cricket and want to see Bollywood style action on a cricket field and you definitely seem amongst those.

Excellent decision
by Jaya S on Dec 22, 2010 01:06 PM

Whoever is sitting out the IPL have made the best decision of their lives. Only guys who have doubts about their ability should play IPL (Indians not included since they have no option).

Stars like Johnson, Clarke have no need for this circus. It means nothing except some extra money (maybe lots of extra money).

CA reigning in their players
by kaushik on Dec 22, 2010 01:01 PM  | Hide replies

Complete BS. I bet this guy will be the first in line to play T20 competition if its held in Australia. CA doesnt want their players to play in IPL and give up their control over them. It doesnt have anything to do with burn out.

Kaushik:

So? CA definitely wants control over their players so that THEY can decide when's a burnout situation and when's not.
You have any objections?

Good decision, atleast they are aware that they have to play for their country.

We too have our Indian team players who want money and have little/no contribution in winning series ABROAD
