Great, we are waiting for 100 international 100. I can see some Sachin critics; crying for Sachin retirements in this site. I know they are foreign viewers loggin in with Indian names to demoralize Sachin :)

Records can't win matches.
by Ajay Dev Singh on Dec 20, 2010 12:28 PM  | Hide replies

Why there is hoopla created around Sachin's 50th Ton. Rather simmer in sorrow that SA had ripped our chaddi apart. We have been just focusing on good for nothing records. Sachin will be playing his 6th WC few months from now. I think this joker will require another 44 WC to lift the WC trophy. Look at our truck driver b-a-s-t-a-r-d-s Zaheer, Sehwag and harbhajan they all are just co travellers with Indian Team. Our pacers are super fast spinnners.

what can be done about that? it's the situation for decades now. That's why people are trying to find a blessing in disguise in this knock of his. At least, it saved us from a face-palm defeat.

Do not celebrate Mediocrity
by Suresh Kalmadi on Dec 20, 2010 11:36 AM  | Hide replies

21 Years for 50 Centuries - That means 2.5 Centuries every Year.

175 Tests for 50 Centuries - That means in every 3.5 Tests he scored 1 century.

This is good, but definitely not great.
Also, stats clearly show, he has played very very few match winning knocks.

Forget Bradman, even Sehwag is way ahead.

Dear Mr. Kalmadi,

It is not about corruption that you can do for 21 years consistently. You require to be extra-ordinary to play for 21 years and score these many runs. It is like an athlete winning gold in 100 metres in 4 consequetive Olympics. You will never understand this as you are used to more than 100 corruptions each year.

Is not this an outstanding performance..?? A hundred under pressure.
This match reflects the problem that Sachin has faced throughout his caareer.. That of a non-performin team. He played so well under pressure in this match.... Its not his fault that others did not perform.....You cannot blame a good performer ..... You should instead blame the remaining 10 non-performers.

Suresh,
I guess you fotgot that cricket is a team game. When sehwag scores a fast hundred, others also score, hence india wins. When sachin scored those Hundreds, look at others scores in the score card

So, sachin is Face saver... great!

Looking at current state of this match, can we say Sehwag got us into this mess? the way he got out in first innings?

You don't need to say Sachin is not good to show how good Sehwag is... And if you need to then it will prove that he is not... :)

9 Years for 22 centuries = 2.44 centuries per year.

84 tests for 22 centuries = 3.81 tests per century.

Longevity? 9 years vs 21 years?

Is this the statistics you used to prove that Sehwag is better than Sachin?

He is good and one of the bests from India... but when you dwarf Sachin in front of him you are just showing your illiteracy about cricket.

Sachin fares quite well if compared with contempory cricketers

Virender Sehwag :- 2.44 centuries per year and 3.86 tests per century

Ricky Ponting :- 2.6 centuries per year and 3.87 tests per century

Brian Lara :- 2.12 centuries per year and 3.85 tests per century

Rahul Dravid :- 2.21 centuries year and 4.77 tests per century

Micheal Hussey :- 2.6 centuries per year and 4.38 tests per century

However Sir Donald Bradman is the best

He has 2.07 centuries per year (without considering the second world war period 1939-45) and 1.79 tests per century

SALUTE TO A RARE SUPERMAN OF CRICKET
by Rajesh Gupta on Dec 20, 2010 11:34 AM  | Hide replies

Great Man!
Where are those idi..ts, fools or anti-sachin followers?
Who were saying he will get his 50th hundred against Bangladesh?
If still India loose, they will definitely say that Sachin play only for himself, because they don’t know anything about cricket.
This is the bad luck of India, that only Sachin and Dhoni showed some skill under such tremendous pressure to avoid a shameful defeat. If any of other topgun use his mind, there might be different ball game today and it might be one of the great comeback in the history of cricket after behind almost 500 runs and more than two days remaining.

But bad luck, India has only and only one SACHIN

Great... we Indians are fools, we create a god and then we like to destroy him too... same is d case with sachin... he atleast made 100 out of nothing, y didnt sehwag or gambhir o anyother player play responsibily... u know playin d game on d field nd commentin on it from an plush room is different... he did wat he could... common this man has saved cricet in India fr 21 years when no other player could play responsibily like him... They say his contribution in victories is lesser than Pontings, but check the stats compare sachin's team mates stats in all the loses and defeats INDIA has faced and tat of Pontings, u'l see a huge difference... Austrailia has been about Team performance and In India they used to depend upon SACHIN... Tatas y he could play well when he was the captain of a team of average players in 90's...

Pressure off from Ponting from the win in WACA, I think Ponting will return to form.
He scored a quick 50 in that Drawn test, a small but entertaining knock without pressure.
So Ponting too will go ahead........

Kallis is ahead of all (including sachin)

Test Match : 11000 runs , 250 wkts, batting avg 55, bowling avg 32
ODI: 11000 runs ,250 wkts, batting avg , bowling avg 32

so for batting he is close to best batsman

for bowling close to best Indian bowler

Best complete cricketer

You are right, he is the best all rounder in world.

But Sachin is best batsman no doubt...

and shane warne is the best bowler.

it's about skills, everyone has got different ones so don't compare the players with different profiles.
