They say his contribution in victories is lesser than Pontings, but compare sachin's team mates stats in all the victories and defeats INDIA has faced and tat of Pontings, u'l see a huge difference, Austrailia has been about Team performance and In India they used to depend upon SACHIN... Tatas y he couldn't play well when he was the captain of a team of average players in 90's... How did one expect him to take d tough job of captaining INIDAN team and contribute with bating and single handedly winning matches for INDIA when he's team mates wouldnt play well... Other than DHONI name an Indian Captain who contributed well with d bat consistently, given Dhoni has an excellent team of good batsmen...

This is what is called indian mentality. I dont understand why few jokers on this form blame sachin for everything. Indian team has no match winning bowlers like kapil,srinath and kumble. India looses its match because of present useless bowlers.
If you minus sachin contribution to the team,then India would have lost 95% of the matches badly.
Jokers on the forum write nonsense as they jealous of sachin. if these jokers take even a glimpse of sachin's personality, then they will become true children to their parents!
Sachin has scored more runs in abroad than any other batsman in the world. if you can't digest Sachin, your own indian, then these jokers must be slave to whites what india was before independence:

Dude tats I'm sayin stop blaming sachin... Without sachin Indian team goes back on becoming an average team... I hink Sachin too fears tat, wen he retires wher will Indian team lend... he wants to gift Indians and Indian team World Cup so tat wen he leaves and retires d team has something tat will boost their morale and confidence...

Tendulkar is a great batsman. No Doubt about it. Perhaps greatest of all behind Bradman and Sobers. But he should have done something to protect the tail enders in this match. Agree that we are in a losing position. But still we have 2 wickets. Cricket is all about fighting and not giving the easy wickets. As a star batsman, atleast he should have taken more strike and atleast should have scored another 30 runs to erase the innings defeat. This is what Australians used to do. Now he had given a impression that he is trying to increase his average which may or may not be correct. Still there is no harm if his average increases. More average means more runs.

The message is clear about your understanding of the stats. This is not mens singles tennis. Australia had the best team for most of the games that Ponting ended up on the winning side.
