No doubt he is one of the greatest cricketer of all time. At the same time this is also true that he is most selfish player of all times. Never ever played for country and never helped anybody inside the ground, outside the ground , inside the dressing room and outside the dressing room. He just played for himself and his record. I didn't heard from any player from getting support from tendulkar, however every player admire his achivement.

Well if we see centries of Tendulkar in ODI and compare with the wins you will find mostof the matches were lost the reason when Sachin reaches 90 he will take 2-3 overs for meare completing his century irespecitve of slog overs. I hope he doesn't repeat this in 2011 WC only then we have chances of winning.
Main problem with Indians is no matter they win or lose, its him who is needs to score runs all the time...if he scores, then whole of india would sleep peacefully no matter india lost shamelessly...He is a great cricketer, but sometimes it feels he is very selfish of scoring runs rather than making us win...not always,,sometimes i do feel,..especially in todays match wen he exposed the tailenders

why you are talking about the GOD of Cricket. why we select tailenders in team? only for bowling? I think they are playing for our country having 110cr population if they cann't play against pace attack then they should make space for new all rounder. There are 11 player in team.Every player should perform not expect for GOD of cricket always. Jut like saying rain is too selfish to pour water on earth... Why people don't understand it is the purpose of rain? They simply look to say Sachin would have been great, had he scored golden pairs in all those 175 tests.
Tendulkar is a great batsman. No Doubt about it. Perhaps greatest of all behind Bradman and Sobers. But he should have done something to protect the tail enders in this match. Agree that we are in a losing position. But still we have 2 wickets. Cricket is all about fighting and not giving the easy wickets. As a star batsman, atleast he should have taken more strike and atleast should have scored another 30 runs to erase the innings defeat. This is what Australians used to do. Now he had given a impression that he is trying to increase his average which may or may not be correct. Still there is no harm if his average increases. More average means more runs.

To Shreyas and Kumar - you both have made a great point. However, the blame needs to be shared by others - by the captain and coach. Knowing that Sachin may bat for himself, I think it is there job too to remind him of the situation and request him to balance it. Unfortunately, our people don't want to address the elephant in the room. Given that kind of feedback to Sachin, I am sure he would have tried to balance it. What say?
Greatness no doubt about it, Fantastic technique no doubt about it, Humility No doubt about that. But if ever I meet Sachin Bhai I will ask him two questions
1. Why did he constantly exposed Ishant Sharma to to fierce Australian attack in Sydney 2007 at India's First Innings
2. Why he did the same again at India's second innings?
I remember Lara batting with Courtney Walsh in a test match where he not only saved match but won for West Indies.
I am not questioning his decication. Who knows he would have sheilded Sreesant and the debutant may be after a while let weather decide the fate of the game. Or how about hanging in and frustating the South Africans and gaining a mental upper hand on them. All this could have been done. All this could have done if Sachin decided to face 4 deliveries in an over and let the tailender face the two deliveries. South Africa were in a strong position they would have won anyway but some grit I mean so plan...

Hi. A correct comment and I wish to doff my hat for you. When about 29 odd runs only were needed to avoid an innings defeat with two wickets in hand Tendulkar's exposing Shreesanth and the 11th batsman- a deputant and a bowler at that- sans logic and reasoning!Sorry Tendulkar, you have not even attempted to look for it on the morning of the 5th day!

There are many innocent fans of Sachin who believes he is the god of cricket..I was not surprised when he exposed Shree or the other new bowler who is so new that his name is also not on top of the mind of many of us.. Sachin mean business. he wanted to be not out and ensrue his average is not slipping.. his not out has kept his avg at 144 now..He is gunning for man of the series.. I remember how Laxman won matches for us hanging around with tail unders, Even Bhajji didnt allowed Shree to face the attack again kevis.... Such heroics are not sachin's cup of tea..Long leave Sachin.. Long leave ur records.. Team spirit can take back seat when a mastero is creating mile stones.

Guys I appreciate your remark above and even I feel would Sachin have been out today it would have earned him more respect as even I feel he should himself have faced the over and allowed tailender max 1 to 2 deliveries. Whats the point in making individual records when team has lost the match I would appreciate the inning played by Laxman and others who brought the glory to team by winning matches not by making individual record. So I would consider Laxman as a real hero though he did not preform in this series.

I want to believe in what u say.. why he didnt take charge.. he didnt even scored a boundary today.. His body language never suggested he is up for crossing those 30 odd runs to avoid innings defeat.. May be my definition or understanding of dedication is different..
"I think every country wants to have a batsman like Tendulkar. But such a player comes only once in decades. His greatness is he has realised the responsibility on him to keep on scoring runs for India and to break record after record," Jalaluddin noted.
I see Aussie, even if Hussey or Shane Watson make century and if they lose that match..They just dont care who made a century, they are more worried abt team victory... While in India we are least worried that India is going to lose to the match and concentrate more on Sachins Century..wat a Pity?

Indeed Hussey and Watson done a great job for aussies in the last match. But remember they were able to score only 309 runs, where as India needs lot more than that to save the match. If india is anywhere near to avoid an innings defeat, that's only b'coz of this great man. He is running out of the partners and in this case there is very little that Sachin can do anything about. Cricket is team game where everyone has to produce their best and Sachin is doing that from the past 21 years which no one can deny.

Sachin is not one more batsman.. he cannot expect others to score and contribute equally.. the fame and lvoe he has got i do not thing any other player ever got.. There are occasions when he didnt scored and we won the match.. Others didnt said, Let sachin also contribute..Its sad that we forget the fact and get emotional when it comes to appraising Sachin.. Sachin is the world's greatest batsman.. But he is never a god father for tail unders..

what else do you expect Sachin to do?? He has done his part. Even in first innings he only started counter-attack. If 10 others fail, his achievemtn cannot be hiddent. and it is not a mere century. it is his 50th ton that has been long waiting. Agreed that we need to concentrate more on India's performance, but at the given moment, what can, you, me or even the BCCI do about it??

only 1% indians who are jealous of sachin achievements write nonsence on the board probably they have a little knowledge about cricket. Sachin always humble, dedicated team man, not bothered about the 1% barking dogs, he carry on doing his duty. PEOPLE TALK ABOUT BRODMAN, whom young generation not even witnessed his bating. FACT IS A FACT; ALL CRICKET LEGENDS AND FANS AROUND THE WORLD HAIL SACHIN ' GREAT AMBASSODOR OF THE GAME'. NO ONE MATCH HIM, BECAUSE HE IS THE GOD OF CRICKET. HE IS A TRUE INSPIRATION FOR ALL INDIANS.
