Mr. LBW man - Sachin
by prasheen mothukuri on Dec 17, 2010 03:27 AM  | Hide replies

Another lbw out for Sachin Tendulkar. What a pathetic batsman who never learns from his ways of dismissals and top of that he never prepares to avoid from such dismissals. Not sure why people consider him great when he does not possess a good a mix of good defence and attack. And when he cant deliver good attacking knocks in good pitches.

He is the only batsman in cricket who have most LBW dismissals.Thats an indication that batsman does not possess good mix of defensive and attacking technique.

Bowlers around the world know how to get him out. First way bowlers think is to get him LBW out. And Steyn succeeded in his plan.

So, time to haill Sehwag,Kallis,Sangakkara as great batsmen as they possess good mix of defensive and attacking technique

Awesome pace bowling

At this level of cricket, it looks childish to decry the toss going in SA's favor. The world's no.1 test team should not be a slave of the toss. What one saw on day 1 was an absolutely awesome display of controlled pace bowling by Morkel and Steyn. Brilliant. The one that got Laxman was pure pace. Gambhir was worked over by Morkel who messed his head up badly to prove that no matter how much one enjoys ODIs and T20's, it is test cricket that still remains the true test of grit and patience. Raina might not last this series. One can only hope that the Indian pacers can emulate the SA pace pair. Especially Morkel's control of length. It wasn't just about pace but the way they made the batsman play every delivery that reminded you of McGrath at his peak. And for a fair measure they would whistle one past the ears. I was watching the match on Willow TV. The fear in the Indian batsman's eyes bar Sachin and Dhoni was palpable as they really were having no clue to the next ball. Really pray the team comes around quickly.

its good Indian team understand their strengths but keep in mind that Dhoni is eying the world cup and not the SA series. its better Dhoni adapts to the challenges of WC and not the SA series, as WC is in Indian subcontinent

Falult of BCCI
by chirag foryou on Dec 17, 2010 01:16 AM

The super rich BCCI can not give good practice of bouncy and moist pitches. The can not create same kind of conditions in India just as a preparation of SA tour.

Instead of that, they are busy in ruining cricketers by too much cricket.

They just want money, they don't feel bad if country flops.

Otherwise how come all most same story can be repeated again and again about bouncy pitches?

Your opinions please

It was the coin toss
by Gurjot Singh on Dec 17, 2010 12:12 AM  | Hide replies

It was the coin toss that has resulted in so much woe for India. SA would have faced the same fate against Sreesanth. The pitch is green and bouncy and the condition was wet. Dravid lost his patience and VVS plain missed it. ZK will be sorely missed. It will be very good for India if rain eats up some time. SA will have same problem if with Sreesanth's aggressiveness. Once thing is certain that unless Indian batsman do justice to their reputation, India is facing the possibility of defeat.
