Indian cricket team are tigers at home and paper tigers abroad. They rose to the top position in rankings mainly due to victories at home. Their true ranking will be revealed if they play matches abroad.

I am laughing now since Dhoni wil face real test since himself & Raina can't bat against real fast bowling. Badri, Vijay, Dinesh could have been right choice instead of Dravid/Lakshman, Dhoni,Raina. Rainas & Dhonis
&Yuvis are only flat pitch bullies.

Well I never had any expectations from Gambhir and Raina,,but I am most disappointed with Sehwag and Harbhajan who gifted their wickets with reckless shot and lazy running respectively....Now Sreeshanth will feast on opposition batsmen,,

Boss, u said it and echoed my thoughts. I feel pujara played well against the aussies and although i agree that playing on lively wickets is a different ball game, he can't be worse than raina who is found wanting on bouncy wickets. Pujara has a grt attitude and can be tried in the net match. Ofcourse, if dhoni wants, he can retain raina on indian tracks! lol.

Mr. LBW Out Man - Sachin
by prasheen mothukuri on Dec 17, 2010 06:18 AM  | Hide replies

Again Sachin got out in lbw fashion. Pathetic. I cant understand why people consider him great when he cant learn from his dismissals fashion. He played so many test matches,ODIs and still he does not prepare himself to avoid LBWs. Too many LBWS is indication of bad mix of defensive and attacking techniques. Most of number of LBWs dismissal record has been held by him. Haillllll Sehwag,Kallis,Sangarakaa. These guys has least lbw/clean bowled dismissals in their careers

Prasheen u don't understand cricket thats the basic problem. Today sachin got out in almost unplayable delivery.. Did you watch the match ..He was fluently scoring runs before that delivery.

Why you are behind this great cricketer ..f you don't anything about cricket and act like an expert

Did you ever played with a cricket ball in a turf wicket . if the new ball hit the grass it will be almost unplayable thats wot happened in the case of Sachin and Laxman

And hope you watched the Sehwag innings there was absolutely no foot work..

Boss, i agree that sachin was really playing well and got out to a beauty. No problems with that one. But your comment about sehwag is amusing. Sehwag has scored his first century in africa and scored in all the countries, i.e. australia, england, newzealand, pakistan, west indies etc against all types of bowling. Now a guy without technique can't score two triple hundreds and 15 hundreds and have a grt average. So we need to stop this nonsense about his not having technique.

Sehwag has out to a poor shot where he tried to hit six over third man where a positioned for such a shot. So it was poor judgement rather than lack of technique.

Bowlers around the world has been thinking of LBW strategy as first option for him. And 90% of the times all most all bowlers including new comers were able to achieve that. Steyn/SA held to his/their plan for him

BCCI & ICC is making matches like production in 3 shifts of typical RELIANCE indusries factory but these cricket players need practice like ASHES. Player who are mentally in their homes like DHONI miss his wife, POINTING miss his daughter fail to perform

same output, same analysis, same trouble on bouncy wicket..

My question to all greats of Indian cricket, BCCI members, current and Ex administrators of Indian cricket...

why there isn't a single green top wicket in India?
why Ranji/ Duleep and all domestic matches are not routinely played on these green top wickets?

Why our batsmen don't insist on need of creating bouncy wickets?

Why players like Kapil, Shrinath, never rose their voice on having green wickets?

Why batsmen like Sachin, Sunil, Rahul, Saurav, Lakshman, Sehwag, Vengsarkar, Mohinder, Vishwanath, Pataudi never spoke in favour of lively and pacers assisting wickets even for practicing before leaving for Aus/SA/Eng/NZ/WI?

This is because they believe in records: and not team winning for the team. Just hear Gavaskars commentary: see his focus on centuries, 50's etc. It is much more than the team winning. Unless we leave the obsession for batting records this will happen.

Very good observations mate. That is a typical indian mindset. If you open a newspaper or a cricket site before or during a test match, you would always find a lots of statistics, how many centuries have been scored, who has overtaken whom etc.

but by practing on live wickets, only batsmen are going to help..

if they are prepared to face rising delivery..their run will be increased and the records also..

if they can play on bouncy wickets, they should also be able to play on flat tracks..

or is it the other way..that practicing on bouncy wickets..does not help a batsmen score on flat track?
