very true, dire straits and sameer, we all have read how you people criticise, condemn and complain about other indian players who have done so much for indian cricket. we know about your views regarding ganguly, dravid, laxman, sehwag, gambhir, raina, yuvraj, dhoni, zaheer, bhajji, ishant, ozha etc.

well frankly ... i hold the veteran players up in a pedestal. Players like Tendy/ Sehwaf/ Ganguly/Laxman/Dravid/ Kumble have shaped the indian team.

The new commers , Meh not so much. There are few things that I always see. I see the seniors being visibly upset when they are losing a match from the days they started to play till today.

The new comers seem to be a bunch of happy go lucky guys, who don't really care when they are losing. There seems to be a sentiment where in they feel entitled to be in the team by virtue of being a new talent.

They have not been subjected to the rigors that the seniors have gone through.
Class acts like Ganguly/ Dravid had to fight their way into the team. The new comers seem to have it easy and this could explain their lack of care when in the team

is it lack of care? or confidence in themselves? and about forgetting what has happened and moving on. dwelling too much upon defeats will not change the result of that particular matches.

seniors have rarely win so much in so few matches. maybe that is why they are upset when losing a match?

young players have won so much in so few matches. is that why they do not care? for them winning is a rule and losing a exception and not to be worried too much about it but think about winning the next game.

did we ever win so consistently and so many times when the team was filled with seniors?

we have started to win consistently and win more often than losing only after new generation players started to enter the team.

just check how many matches have seniors played how many they won and how many they lost. see their winning proportion of matches to their losing proportion of matches.

now check how many matches new generation players have played. look how many of them they have won and how many of them they have lost. look at the winning

Which precisely means he is thinking about it. It will be a shame if he plays in the confused state he was in during NZ test series. These media idiots have no other business but to try and create rift and change focus of players.

If Sachin scores a century, he is in fact contributing 100 runs to the total score of India, so how can you say that he is selfish ? When Sachin scores a duck you guys say he does not play when the team needs..when he scores a century you say he is selfish..Uneasy Lies the head that wears the crown...So true

It does not help the team because when Sachin scores 100, India wins by 200 runs and if he scored 200 India wins by 400 runs. If India needs 100 runs to win, Sachin scores a duck. Now you understand why his runs are useless to the team. Look at Laxman. He scores when it is most needed.

dear jaya,
how many times laxman scored when india needed runs. out of laxman 102 tests india lost 75. out of laxman's 15 test hundreds india lost in 10. except for the recent century against australia he did not score when india required. what happened to him against england in chennai when india scored a record chase. what did he do against pakistan in chennai in 1998 when sachin waged a lone battle. iam re-iterating time & again that because of some support from other players some innings of laxman & others are becoming match winning ones. unfortunately when sachin scores all these players are failing and hence these matches are lost. it can only be termed as luck for other players since they are getting support when they are playing good innings.

Ravi House, dont write nonsense. out of laxman 102 tests indian won 83. out of laxman 15 centuries india won 13. when india won against england that record chase was won because of sehwag (who scored at a rate of 8 runs per over because of which we won), gambhir and yuvraj.
