AUSTRALIA IS PASSE

Resurrect any one but no one will resurrect Australia`s fortunes. Australia is doomed and would bedeemed if all players are dropped - another classic West Indies type situation

Yes, if they bring back shane warne, why not Hayden, Gilchrist,Langer, McGrath and Steve Waugh. Look at the line up
Hayden
Langer
Ponting
Clark / North
Hussey
Steve Waugh
Gilchrist
Warne
Siddle
Bolliger
McGrath

Looks a great team but in my opinion going to past is killing future. I think Aus is taking the Ashes too seriously. This is the time they have to plan for future good cricketers than putting pressure. You just can't win all the times until you plan to do so. Right now Australia is not planning well.

I doubt he will be effective. Even in IPL-3 he could not create an impact.

It is not about his own bowling skills alone. It is about planning a batsman's dismissal. This is where Ricky is drawing a blank today. Warene could be a tremendous resource to AUS. Just look at the way he could motivate a young inexperienced team in IPL. It is upto the Aussies now. But I guess it be too demeaning to Ponting if Shane is to be offered captaincy now. He will possibly retire from Cricket. In any way Aus will end up losing.

Dont you think the bowlers have to have the ability to execute the plan ?. It is really funny that you assume ponting or the think tank would not plan or try and execute. Shane warne can probably inspire some of the players to find their real abilities. That is where he would make a difference.
