Not sure

The Aussies always played to a formula. Three pace bowlers. One spinner. One wicketkeeper who was better batsman than a keeper. One bowling allrounder who was a quicky (Shane Watson, James Hope, Steve Waugh mold). One batting allarounder who was a spinner (Micheal Clake, Marcus North etc). And a couple of left-handers in thier batting lineup.

The kind of line-up gave them a lot of variety. They could call upon the services of 6 bowlers and 7 batsman at the least. The lefty-righty combo threw the line and length of many a opposition bowlers for a toss.

But somewhere along the line , they have lost the fire and have become average.

Hughes is a bad replacement . They should have promoted Brad Haddin up the line or got Tim Paine instead.

Marcus North is out of form . But have either Pointing or Clarke performed. One of them should have been rested.

Micheal Johnson has not been in the best of form since Brett Lee has been out. But he is thier for this shock ability like Thomson. Not essential for taking wickets. They should not have dropped him or should have replaced him with Tait.

Beer. Why ?? Unless this dude is a spinning wunderking, i would have prefered Cameron White or James Hope. Or maybe the aussie selectos can recall andrew symonds.

Without going into too many changes, not to panic, they have done good work.
1)Hughes is good replacement, and should consider this as opportunity.
2)Removing North is good work, thanks. Getting Smith is very good work. He is allrounder & good 7number batsman. He is confident after good show in domestic crick, and this will help.
3)Beer is new bowler, and mind you "Warne" has supported him on twitter. Huge expectations on this young lad. Go man go.
4)Give chance to Johnson, he deserve one go with some confidence from Punter.
.
Aussie will come really hard towards English. Its very good side.

I think he delibrately did that as Aus need non-aus (Indians) to make some difference in this series.

An australian company had promised free beer to all australians on winning Ashes .
Now that dream is gone to smoke, but cricket australia remembered this and has presented Beer in diffrent form.!
