I simply cannot understand this age old ancient relic called Jaya. The world would love to have sachin playing for them and yet this man goes on raving and ranting. Jaya do u really think sachin needs to prove anything to you ? For 21 years this guy has been holding the indian batting together, yes there have been times when he has not done as well as only he can but then he has failed in comparisons to his own mighty standards. Lesser mortals like u and me can only wish we were anything remotely as gifted and as hardworking as this genius jaya. Atleast respect the fact that there is one indian who has ruled the world for 21 years and will do so for atleast another 3-4 years more. And for all the records and achievements this man is the most humble human. Always dignified never caught in any murky situations unlike warne or ponting or gibbs or lara. Jaya come the worldcup when he comes out to bat the stadium will be chanting only one ame "SACHIN" n not "JAYA"

Do you think opinions of insignificant insects matters to this world? Whose opinion holds more weightage, those players who have played alongside Tendulkar who rate him as the best, or an insignificant insect with no credentials whatsoever?

spot on DS....every TOM,DIk and Harry thinks he can comment on Sachin and advice him..he needs no opinions what so ever.. he is the best and will remain the best
The only Indian bowler who could trouble the batsmen on hard bouncy wickets in SA is Ishant Sharma, because of his height. But the problem for Indian batsmen could be the fact that all the South African fast bowlers are as tall as or even taller than Ishant. I guess the reflexes of the 4 mainstays of Indian batting would be severely tested.

But in hard bounny wickets even a mediocre bowler can become heroes. The best example is Venkatesh Prasad in 1996 series.

Here is the details. 52 v Netherlands 36 v Australia 81 v Zimbabwe 152 v Namibia 50 v England 98 v Pakistan 5 v Kenya 97 v Sri Lanka 15 v New Zealand 83 v Kenya 4 v Australia
Remember he was highest scorer against Aus in the group league.

This clearly shows he fails more against top teams but uses weak teams to build up his useless records. Thanks for enlightening me Surya.

Good Surya...Looks how Jaya conveniently avoided 5 Vs Kenya...36 V Australia which was highest score...excusing 98 vs pak saying he was dropped but was given wrong lbw in the next match...97 Vs Sri Lanka...50 Vs England...LOL

Sachin and records go hand in hand. There is no lesson required for it. But we need to understand the situation in which he scores. I have never Sachin performing when four or five wickets down and chasing 300 plus scores. The best example is the Nat West final. He always fails when it matters most in trying conditions.

jaya i guess the world is crazy to think sachin is the best. Guess only ur views should be considered and sachin should be dumped from the indian team for good rite ? 49 test centuries / 47 odi centuries, 14000 runs in tests / 17000 runs in odi's the only batsman to get a double century in odi's and that too against SA, testimonies of donald, mcgrath, shoaib, pollock, brett lee, murli, warne that sachin is the best batsman to whom they have ever bowled is a joke rite jaya. maybe u should go and tackle dale steyn and morkel with ur grand dad's walking stick and get to a triple century on debut at super sport on 16th december. duh what a loser u are jaya.
Kallis average just 29 in England, Ponting average just 26 in India,Lara average just 33 in India........... Does it mean all these player were not good batsmen and never to be considered as good players? Who said that players with healthy average in South Africa was the Greatest Player?

Good point. Just shows that Tendulkar is just as vulnerable as any other modern batsman. So he cannot be the greatest. Finally people see the point.

The rest of the team besides Tendulkar in the past was very weak especially in conditions like South Africa. I remember people turning their tv off once Sachin was out. There was a lot of pressure on Sachin whenever he went in to bat and couldnt score as freely as he may have liked to. I'm sure the situation will be different now as Sachin can now go and play his natural game as there are other batsmen who are good enough to play well. You should be talking about Sachin's performance or the lack thereof after the series is over and not before. Nothing has been proven yet.

"I remember people turning their tv off once Sachin was out."
I used to turn off the TV when Sachin came in to bat and only turn it on when I hear he is out. I cannot stand his selfish batting. It is boring and put me to sleep. To stay awake I had to get away from the TV when he bats.

You can stay here for the whole day or even the rest of your life and argue but nothing's going to change facts. Sachin will remain the best batsman ever in the history of cricket and you will remain another whiny anonymous Internet blogger. Why dont you do something worthwhile with your life rather than being a troll ?

Probably...stop watching cricket...you dont have any idea how to look into the game...now Team inida is better than ever we do have sufficient proofs and sachin has proved numerous times he is a match winner...
