Atherton go read Spot fixing in print by Jrod!!
by Sreekumar Chirukandoth on Aug 31, 2010 08:40 PM

It is sad that our neighbor Pakistan is again at the hub of a sordid controversy. I feverently hope it is a hoax. however, incidents such as these have given opportunities to known racists and India baiters like Atherton to lump everything and everybody from the subcontinent. Perhaps, Atherton doesn't know that the first ever cricketer to be arrested for a betting related incident was Ted Pooley, then England wicket keeper way back in 1877!! Ignorance, as they say, is BLISS Atherton!!

White skin = clean hands ?
by Unmai Vilambi on Aug 30, 2010 11:46 PM

This guy speaks as if all that is wrong are in India, and corruption would not have happened if the White were heading ICC. Sounds just another white guy lamenting about power and control going to dark skinned people.

He has to learn that betting in cricket has been going for decades now, but has come to light only in the last 15 years. He will just have to wait till some English names come out in the list of corrupt.

Another propaganda anti India loser
by vijay M on Aug 30, 2010 10:20 PM

This guy Atherton is a number No.1 racist especially against India. Check out his previous comments if you want. They are all biased and anti India. He is a cheap fellow who is using this situation to further his agenda.
Other people in the cricket world who are similar to him are Malcolm Speed, Chris Broad etc.

India's tour was also fixed.
by kalpak chandra on Aug 30, 2010 09:08 PM

India's tour also seemed to be fixed as they lost in such a big way. enquiry should be done. rohit sharma , dinesh kartik , ravindra jadeja did not even reached two figure scores is doubtful. Ishant sharma bowling maximum balls on the leg side of the batsmen is also doubtfull.

Dont compare your crap Paki losers with no morals and ethics with Indians. In fact, match fixing was done even by Akram, Waqar, Miandad and they were never punished. It's not surprising that others are following them.

betting in subcontinent
by subhashish chakraborty on Aug 30, 2010 08:39 PM

mr atherton's assertion that betting only takes place in the india and pakistan smacks of racial prejudice . if u do care to remember ur wicketkeeper at ur time was one of the men let off by the ICC and even WAUGH& WARNE were there . but then they only received money for talking about trhe condition of the pitch ???
how about football ?? ur players show around for money i.e JOHN TERRY ?
or are u just implying that u guys do not have that kind of money to splurge and we do have that ? in that case i will accept the allegation of betting in india .... poor brits
