is the worst umpire in the world.although he didnt officiate yesterday,we cannot remove the fact that he has given a lot of wrong decisions.he was a poor crickter during his times when he played for lanka and so obviously he is a poor umpire also.such umpires should get some proper training.
It's only the players who get the stick !! What if VIRU is given out when he is clearly not out in the Finals on Saturday?? The umpires could ruin a good contest !! It's high time the Umpires be charged 50% of their match fees for such bungling. This would be a good deterrant for raising fingers fast, they would also seriously consider the available 3rd umpire then.Fines puts everyone in place.Why have we been so easy on the Umpires even after they have so much of hitech stuff at their disposal?? This should be implemented before the World Cup, the faster the better.
It is good that these guys r being fined . But this was the other reason though the BCCI should fine those players who under perform those batsmen who cannot reach atwo figure score must be fined 75% of their match fees or bowlers giving too many runs should be fined 50% of their match fees . any one dropping a catch or misfielding should be liable for fine. Such hefty fine will only improve their play. these guys have earned a lot of money . Now is the time for BCCI to thrust such rules so that these young guys will improve before the WC
Because it will also show the snick in case of if bat hits the pad or ground. In replay it was looking that there was no snick. But yes there was some noise.
Fined by 2 choots, Asad Rauf & Dharamsena, who themselves have to be fined for poor decision. I think in that case the whole Pakistan team should be fined.

But for sure, there should be absolutely no umpires when Indian players are playing.... coz they are PERFECT, and will walk anyway when really out. So no need to waste money by paying unnecessary umpires... The Indian bowlers can play the role of umpires when they bowl, as we don't claim any wickets as shown by Dhoni's bump catch video if you search "Spirit of India" on Youtube... :)
These Lankan Umpires are always complaining about other teams and players. But when it comes to Lankan players they are angels and will never make an offence. even when one of the Lankan players dash and through the opponent player down also it is the fault of other player but not Sri Lankans. Where as Indians after being given out without touching the ball with the bat( caught behind) or given LBW even the ball touches the bat first and then Pad. The Indian Player must walk back without any emotions & feelings. They should not even smile at their fate because it is an offence. Poor Indians.
What happend on previous match when the umpire have judged wrong decession.there is no fine there is no rules.so why umpires needed in cricket.other wise icc want to fine the umpires also.any way they can only punish indians because bcci is utterly wast for the indian cricket
