During the Centenary test against England team, The great G.R. Vishwanath, capt of India recalled their wicket keeper batsmen. The story should be published again for the world to know about it.Rediff would you please pblish it for the younger generation to read and if possible to follow. Visual media also should give coverage for such "golden moments" in our cricketing history

If you are blaiming Asad Rauf, he is still one of the good umpires on the field. Kumar Dharamsena is usual idoit, he always seems to me living in other world while giving decision. He will thrown out soon from elite panel of ICC umpires.

Sangakara, bring more bad name to Lanka. Keep watching, next two years they would visit many countries, then we would see whether they able to impove their ranking or not. So far they are failed misreably in overseas tours.
when the indian team go gaga over depriving a player of a landmark, why was that not followed when the team is deprived of a landmark many times. in india it individual matters more then then the team.

I am still fan of India. our Team is going through rough patch only. Things get reversed if Lanka visit India.
- the Bu11shhitt game of cricket? The no-ball incidence was highlighted in media as if it was national calamity. We have much serious issues like Leh disaster, floods, drought, n-bill, inflation etc. to discuss.
Malinga played for MI with Tendulkar. Dilshan played for DD with Sehwag. May be they tried to get even with their IPL team-mates - Malinga did it himself and Dilshan used Randive.

if INDIA plays like yesterday 103 all out and like on the day they got all out for mere 88 & shameless we curse it on the umpires, ok some wrong decisions made the difference but why our batsman should give umpires chances to make wrong decisions? & we think about personal landmarks on missing out sehwag's or sachin's 100.. MSD not thinking about INDIA's current situation & in this rate again the same old story we will have see & bear the pain of seeing INDIA crushing from the WORLD CUP.. what a same.. chi chi

Your stament makes everyone laugh. Excess appeal, lack of application and support to own team makes one umpire to give wrong decisions.
VISHWANATH STANDS OUT AS THE EXEMPLORY CRICKETER WHO PLAYED CRICKET TRUE TO ITS "GENTLEMEN GAME" TAG ,A SELSLESS CRICKETER. IF A TEAM WERE TO CHOSE A COACH WHO CAN TEACH A LESSON OR TWO ON MORAL CONDUCT OF A PLAYER HE WILL CERTAINLY BE UP FOR GRABS!! I SALUTE THIS GREAT CRICKETER!!

That's true Jaggu dada. But I have one question, if you had to choose between the Gavaskar who go to his century by smartly hoodwinking Zaheer Abbas or the dimunitive Vishwanath who gave up his century for the good of the game? Is aggression more important that playing the game like a gentleman? What makes Aussies the world champs? It is not easy to come to any concrete conclusion.

I have the opportunity to watch Vishy in action against WI and to tell frankly it was just mesmerizing.. Hid wristy strokes and square cuts were simply out of the world. May be he indulged in too many square cuts and perished. He was not a bad fielder. When he played the middle order look strong, like the rock of jibralter..He always played for the country not for the landmarks..
