Its not just the matter of a run or a century.I think Sehwag was 100% right.
This is not a world war, only a game.

Then y should he become so selfish.

I dont deny that its wrong on the part of Sanga, DIlshan and suraj. But I dont understand this school boy attitude of Sehwag, If the opponent teams does something like this, you need to give them back on the field, not off the field. As Sanga rightly pointed out, Sehwag has spoken in two voices, one was after the game and the other in the press converence. It was seriously so childish by Sehwag to bring cuttack incident and worst is to Tweet a message about Randhivs apologise.. So damn stupid.. SHAME ON YOU SEHWAG. and the other day i hear of Yuvraj complaining that a few spectators called him waterboy.. i wana watch cricket, dont bring ur typical politics into the game.

Because of this only Sachin is always gentleman than Sehwag. Now, everybody had imagined the importance of 1 run, a century and plying for self records. If Sehwag is not plying for records, then why we are worry about that? Why every time we are blaming SRT that he is playing for self records?

Sangakkara,Dilshan, Malinga and Suraj

Sanga and Dilshan being senior players have lost all credibility and respect. Its not just enough to score runs for the team. How they behave on and off the field is equally important. In this respect Indian players like Sachin, Sehwag, Dhoni, Dravid, Kumble, Srinath and many others (barring Bhajji and Sreeshanth) have set an immaculate example for others to emulate. Mailiga had also bowled 4 wides to deny Sachin his century in India in 2009.

Bhajji & Sreesanth *shocked*
Even Sehwag hasn't been that much disciplined and what about Dhoni who didn't even consider to inform authorities that he wouldn't be able to come to recieve national award but just ignored that.

The pre-historical and historical name of the country is Lanka. The Lankans (Ceylonese) gave themselves the honorific "Sri". They should live up to the HONORIFIC.

Anyone can tell me why shewag could not hit a single against the two balls bowled earlier before that no ball. hence randiv bowled right but shewag not utilized. bowlers are not there to give chances in favor of batsmen. Suppose if randiv taken 9 wickets in a match, wouldn't the batsmen try to block everything not to give him the 10th wicket? It is because Indians are record-mongers, so happy about numbers than team performance. What if shewag got out on that ball? It would be just another 99 out in cricket. Don't fight for numbers and blame anybody. India should show more maturity.

you are talking just nonsense! If a bowler has taken 9 wickets or two in 2 balls any batsmen would try not to give him the wickets not just for the bowler's records but for his own team's sake! Here, that was not the case. He just didn't want to give runs only to Sehwag. If he wanted to deprived him making a century he could have tried his best not to give him runs by bowling well. He could have set the field so that he couldn't take a single or bowled cleverly so that he (sehwag) couldn't hit him for 4 or 6. But Randiv hadn't enough guts in him to stop Sehwag completing 100, hence bowled a no ball! Had he tried to bowl a wide Sehwag could have gone to any length to hit that delivery and Randiv knew that very well.

ND:

You completely missed Jackson's point.

If you think Randiv knew that Sehwag is gonna hit him in any event (according to your last line), Sehwag clearly proved you wrong as he didn't do any such thing on the previous two balls which jackson is referring to and which you have avoided with a politician like dexterity..

You are completely wrong as far as Sehwag is concerned. He is a different person. Don't you remember the occasion when he rfused to take a single of the first ball of an over because he did not want the tail-ender Ishant Sharma to face the rest of the over.

It is like asking why a batsman could not get a run (or 2, 4, 6) in a particular ball or a bowler did not get a wicket in a partcular ball! I guess your comment suggests that a batsman (if can not score run for a particular ball) or bowler does it on purpose. Not sure I follow your logic.

Very well said. But you followed Sehwag's logic very well when it came to the "deliberate" no ball episode.. :)

its unfair tactics by bolr.

its unfair tactics by bolr.
but at the same time, its also to b noted that
1) when kumble wanted to get 10th wkt of his inning against pak, srinath bowled deliberately wide off the stumps so that srinath didnt get wkt by chance, n allowed kumble to get his 10th wkt for the record.
2) just when kapil was on the verge of breaking record of hadlee, srinath (newcomer then) allowed kapil to get his record breaking wkt.
3) there r many no. of such incidents which makes mockery of fairness in the backdrop of some personal achievements.

agreed, viru shud hv scored a century. but its also unfair to bolr. y double standard for bias against him only.

Hi,
Sree sacrificed for his own country player record by not using his ability. But, it is not the same as SriLankan player did to other nations, it is unfair if it is to other nations.

BASIC DIFFERENCE

In the instances you mentioned one player intentionally bowled wide such that the other player CAN ACHIEVE a milestone.

Whereas in this case, one player intentionally bowled a no-ball such that the other player CANNOT ACHIEVE a milestone.

In the first test of the recently concluded test series between Sri Lanka and India, at the end of the 2nd Indian innings other Sri Lankan bowlers were not bowling at their best, to enable Murali to get his 800th test wicket. Nobody complained about that, due to the same reason I mentioned above.

So if you do a wrong to "CAN ACHIEVE", its good.

So Symonds and Clarke really did good in Sydney 2008?

Thanks.
