why bothered..?
by Seema Gupta on Aug 18, 2010 04:11 PM  | Hide replies

In the prvious over, Dhoni defended 3 balls like a gulley cricket boy playing the shots.. means he did not want to score the run and let sehwag make a century..what was this..???? so why wo much hue and cry for Lankan player bowling the no ball..infact on the previous delivery Sangakara gave 4 bye runs..those were also deliberate..so this is today's time cricket..no one shud get bothered...Pankaj

The Dhoni defended deliveries are not questionable. Because he can do that for a cause. He has done that for a GOOD CAUSE. THe century is a mile stone that a well played team mate desires.

Sangakkara was unfortunate to miss that ball. Please see the video clearly. Or if u need more explanation, please play cricket.

But in case of Randiv, He deliberately stepped out TO NOT ONLY DENY SEHWAG, BUT ALSO HE DENIED HIS JOB - by bowling a cowardy delivery. See THE INTENTION UNDER THE ACTION - DHONI HAS DONE THAT FOR A GOOD CAUSE - THAT IS LEAVING THE PRIDE TO SEHWAG - THAT IS SACRIFICING - BUT RANDIV'S ACTION IS NOT BOLD. SO IT IS CONDEMNED

by Rajneesh Batra on Aug 18, 2010 04:10 PM  | Hide replies

Any guesses who is the most repenting and regretful soul around apropos the above episode?

It’s PRAGYAN OJHA – For allowing 800th Wicket to Muralidharan.

Yes POjha is a pretty decent player with no dirty tricks. Infact Indians almost always willing to sacrifice something for others to create record. but Randiv showed that he has bad temperament . SEE THE AUSIES, THEY ARE SOMEHOW BETTER THAN THESE SRILANKANS IN THESE KIND OF UGLY TRICKS.

no ball run
by jamil ahmad on Aug 18, 2010 04:00 PM

if the ball is no ball and batsman hitting and take run. that runs come onto batsman accout.because batsman given own energy to hitting ball.

icc must look into matter and change controvercial rules.

Sportsmanship?
by Gowtham Kumar on Aug 18, 2010 03:42 PM

1. Sehwag kicked a ball to the boundary in a test match against South Africa not long ago- was it not lack of sportsmanship? why weren't we bothered about the sport to that extent then?
2. I clearly heard Sehwag say- it happens in the game; no country wants anyone to score a century against them- just after the match and say a different thing at the press meet: What he said immediately after the match was sportsmanship.

Yes, what Randiv did was deliberate and not fitting for an international athelete but are we going to find him guilty when there are no codes on the issue?

The only positive thing that has come out of this issue is - people have woken up to the news that there is yet another tri series being played in Srilanka, of course there is a third team in Newzealand!

Garry Sobers was run out in that match. Randiv could have as well tried to get sehwag out or for that case the whole srilankan team could have tried to get him run out. Bowling a no-ball is denying. Bowling the batsman out is winning (atleast the moment).
