I agree but who decide what is and what is not in the spirit of the game.
Do you believe that this is the first in recent times--forget about the past--when spirit of the game has been violated? What about captain using negative tactics to stop batsmen from scoring?
Do not be partial or have narrow vies about spirit of the game.

there is difference between legitimate and sportsman spirit. you can try to win in all legitimate ways, but doing indecent things will spoil the game spirit.
it is a forgone conclusion. The match between India and Srilanka is like the Rama Ravan Yudhdha. If the Epic has any significance, it explains.Randive, instead of facing the Ran(battle field)has dived sidewards.
Good on Sehwag to be honest and say it on their face and in the international cricket community. Both Ganguly and Sachin had faced this unsportsmanlike behaviour from Sri lanka earlier. Ganguly vs Sri Lanka at Kandy 22 august 2001.left stranded on 98* by the bowler bowling so wide it gave india 4 byes and india won the test macth.

Thats incorrect, Kaif flicked the ball for 4 leaving Ganguly stranded on 98.
As we organize IPL, why not all the franchises just don't sign Randhiv for the games. We have the bargaining power, so why not to use it. All big countries do so.
It's time for India to start acting as a power and should not just have a 'Yes Sir / Ji Hazoor' kind of attitude.

i totally agree.. India should learn to use its power. After all BCCI is the richest cricket club in the world.
Not only in cricket..But India never uses its military and financial power too.
Forget about Pakistan..we don't even bully Nepal or Bangladesh. They are tiny countries.

;-).... I get reminded of my childhood days when the guy who owned the bat always wanted to do what you suggested.... "If you give me out, then I'll take my bat home..".. :)
