The simplest SOLUTION is to have the umpire "overlook" the No Ball & allow Sehwag to be credited with the six runs that he scored.
Had i been standing in the match, i would have signalled DEAD BALL right away and warned the bowler to "BEHAVE" - signalling a DEAD BALL is very much within the umpire's jurisdiction.
Even now, with all the parties to the sorry episode being in agreement, the score-sheet can be AMENDED by the umpire's diktat and the same RATIFIED by the cricket boards of Sri Lanka and India with due sanction from ICC.
Who or What is preventing the unnecessarily vociferous Powers That Be from acting in this manner ? Any SANE Reply ? Anyone ?

Sachin was ALSO a victim to the same SRI LANKAN TRICK in an earlier match.
INDIA supported MURALI to gain 800th wicket in his last International test match. But SANGAKKARA and SURAJ RANDIV played dirty politics against INDIA's hero SEHWAG..This shows how jellous and selfish SANGAKKARA is ! He is spoiling SRILANKA's name which was lifted by great cricketers like SANATH JAYASURIYA and ARJUNA RANATUNGA
SL cricket team has won "Spirit of the Game" award two times.
The current episode has been criticized within cricket circles and in SL as well. Randiv and Sri Lankan Cricket Board have apologized personally to Viru.
Let's close this topic. Hope ICC changes its rule too.
If the end result--violation of spirit of the game --is same, then there is no difference in events even if the means or act might differ, for example...
1. Randiv bowling a no ball deliberately
2. Sehwag deliberately pushing the ball for four
3. Some captains using negative tactics for stop the flow of the runs
