by sharmamvs on Aug 18, 2010 03:32 PM

this is not the first time for Sri Lankans.
A deserved DOUBLE CENTURY by Azharuddin is being brought to 199. The score board diclared it as 200 and Azharuddin lifted his bat in joy and next movement it has been declared as 199. Over enthusiastic Azharuddin was out for the next ball. What a pity.

Viru should get the 6 runs he scored
by Shamik Ghosh on Aug 18, 2010 11:43 AM  | Hide replies

Be it a no ball or whatever ... Viru had hit it for a 6 , so 6 runs should get added to his score of 99 and thus he should be given the century.
The logic that it being a No ball, no runs are given to the batsman defies logic and perhaps basic rules as well !
If Sehwag had got stumped in that ball, what would have happened ?

You cannot expect gifts from the opposition !!!!
by suryanarayan bhaskar on Aug 18, 2010 10:36 AM  | Hide replies

In sport you cannot expect gifts from the opposition.Sri Lanka wanted to deny Sehwag a century and they have every right to do that. Sehwag did have 2 balls before that to get to his hundred. It is a sport you have to deeat the opposition in every facet to achieve your objectives.

Cricket is a gentlemen's game if you have that ability try to get his wicket and get him out rather than bowling a no ball or a wide

in my opinion both dilshan and randiv should be punished.while dilshan should be given a 5-match ban and randiv should be penalised. so that these things do not happen anymore

did we d the same to murali
by Raghu vir on Aug 18, 2010 10:15 AM  | Hide replies

east or west india is best. did we do the same thing to murali. we could have easily deny one wicket to murali and he would have been stranded on 799. but that is india, we never think bad for others. INDIA IS GREAT. rest of the world should learn from us.

If Murali were not to reach that milestone, he would have played the next test.

No it is not obsession. Look at how it is seen... A big eye brow is raised in the name spirit of the game. Agree to a certain extent that players are after stats. Tell who in the world don't like stats. In this case Sehwag really deserved a 100 as it helped India win a game from cruch situation. Lanka also violated the spirit of the game just for stats.

This is probably an eye wash. Huge funds had been put for Sehwag making a ton. to gallop those funds, these things happened
